Reasonable role allocation – User types

In prevero»enterprise p7, user types allow for a clear and logical allocation of roles. Power Users (usually from a specialist department) manage and model all business management related contents and are able to change and expand the application themselves. The App User is the person generally working with the application, while the Analysis and Reporting User particularly makes use of the various functions for dashboarding, reporting and analysis.

High volatility and rapidly changing conditions in a com-pany make it necessary to react quickly and confidently. New situations require the ability to be flexible and create reliable, meaningful planning at short notice.

Import process

When building up structures, there are two important fea-tures helping you transfer existing organizational structures: the Import Wizard for generic imports and DirectTouch for importing data from different source systems.

Formats from all common source systems can be map- ped and transferred easily. Moreover, DirectTouch and its standardized connectors offer the possibility of importing transaction data (e.g. from financial accounting, cost ac-counting or from OI lists) in an automated way according to a schedule. Thanks to DirectTouch, prevero provides standardized access to more than 30 ERP systems. The connectors can be extended further via the Direct Touch interface.

Creating interfaces for the graphical representation of key figures - Definition mode for worksheets

Entry masks, reports or dashboards - via the definition mode, user interfaces for the respective users can be created and displayed using company-specific workflows. The Power User creates worksheets in an environment similar to Excel® with familiar formulas and without having to program anything - individually and according to user groups.

Simulation calculations and scenario comparisons

With only one click you can flexibly duplicate scenarios, e.g. for simulations or for archiving purposes. As far as simulati-on is concerned, there are some special functions available, e.g. „best case“ or „worst case“ calculations, what-if scena-rios, as well as stress tests.

Intelligent top-down allocation – The Allocation Wizard

Using the Allocation Wizard, values to be distributed (top-down) can be entered at an aggregated level. Values can be distributed according to pre-defined or individual logics, or based on particular periods (Splashing).

Structure assistant

Structures can be created and modified by expert users with only a few clicks and without any specialist know-how in the field of IT. That includes, for example, measures (sales, sales volume, CM etc.), dimensions (product, cost center, customer etc.) and periods (year, half year, quarter, month, day or any other time units). With the help of the Period Wizard, several periods can be created at the same time.

This wizard supports you perfectly during structure crea-tion. Thanks to its preview function, the structure of the current application is always transparent. Using drag&drop, the structures can be adapted to changes in the company environment. All business logics, links and calculations are transferred automatically. Moreover, there is the possibility of creating parallel structures, e.g. to depict different group structures with the same elements.

Measures are turned into formulas by dragging&dropping them into the formula editor. The formula editor makes it easier to navigate in the cube, as it is possible to link the right dimensions and measures with only a few clicks.

Forecasting with the Forecast Module

The Forecast Module in prevero»enterprise p7 enables you to carry out all kinds of business forecasts:

With prevero»enterprise p7 you can carry out all common analysis functions: Slice&Dice, Roll-Up, as well as Drill-Down (down to receipt level). The graphic functions offer virtually unlimited options:

common layouts e.g. tables, symbols, conditional formatting, columns, areas, pie charts, traffic lights,...

individual layouts e.g. radar, waterfall, bubble charts, sparklines...

Modern layouts e.g. icicle, sunburst view, tree maps...

At the same time, all analysis results can be filtered via a wizard (e.g. text filters, data space filters, subtree filters etc.). Starting with version 7.5, there also is a Find and Replace function in order to find and replace names, attributes, descriptions and full text.

Expert users can develop comprehensive reports (from weekly updates to extensive monthly, quarterly or annual reports) without having to switch between different technologies or media.

Moreover, the prevero Office Integration offers the possibility of using data created in prevero directly in the Microsoft® Office® products. You can take full advantage of the benefits of Excel®, Word and PowerPoint® without having to store data redundantly.

Documents created with prevero components retrieve current data live and directly from prevero, making it possible to refresh annual reports at the push of a b utton.

Microsoft Office users benefit from the advantages of a central database without losing the familiar functions they have come to value.

The Report Distribution enables an automatic, scheduled and individual distribution of reports to specified users.A special report subscription function enables users to control themselves which reports they receive. In this way, the reporting process can be shortened dramatically, leaving more time for valuable activities, such as carrying out analyses.
