REPORT 2015

Contents

Electric bikes are enjoying an ongoing boom in many European countries.

Customer acceptance, demand and also the range on offer are all rising. New, younger purchaser groups are discovering e-bikes, and in sporting and

leisure contexts too. E-bikes now account for a significant proportion of turnover for major cycle manufacturers. Suppliers who develop components

are either already working on their second or third product generations, or they're close to that stage.

Following their first report on the supply side of the market in Germany, around a year and a half ago, mod21 and Greenfinder have now turned their

attention to the whole of Europe, flagging up market developments, and revealing changes in market structure and model characteristics in distinct

user categories such as city, trekking and mountain bikes.

This market report is modular in its format, so it offers you the opportunity to gain information selectively, subject by subject.

Database: Greenfinder

To the best of our current knowledge, Greenfinder UG provides Germany's largest comparison platform for electric bikes, at www.greenfinder.de. The internal database currently includes over 9,000 models of e-bikes, pedelecs and s-pedelecs from over 380 different brands, at ca. 3,000

dealers, and it is updated daily.

The company was founded in January 2012 and is self-funded and owner-operated. Greenfinder is also a shareholder of ExtraEnergy Services North America, Inc. and staged the Electric Bike

Expo in the USA, and the "The Circuit" test track at Interbike in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Greenfinder's mission is to inform end users comprehensively about the subject of electromobility, and to support electromobility with innovative service offerings. The direct

comparison system allows every Greenfinder user to compare current ebikes simply and easily, and to access information on particular models. Dealers can register on Greenfinder easily and free of charge, and via the local search function they are easier than ever to find, for example to

arrange a test ride via the test ride finder. Manufacturers can also register free of charge, and administer their entire product range via the portal, upload their dealer list and hence make their

products even more accessible to end users. Greenfinder brings end users and retailers together, and makes the e-bike market transparent.
