20 trees are between 500-999 years of age
6 trees are between 1.000-2.000 years of age
2 trees are more than 2.000 years old
Cluster advantages:
• Olive growers are better connected
• Scientific confirmation of the age of old olive in Bar and other 49 trees - scientific papers Split and Jaen
• Produced high quality label, purchased bottles and high quality wooden boxes
• Purchased equipment for olive harvesting
• Improved brand of olive oil from Bar i Ulcinj
• High price of olive oil obtained from old olives
Disadvantages of
olive oil cluster
• After the project is over, the cluster is over his life
• Olive growers do not work together, each grower do his job alone
• There is no commission for the controlled harvest of olives
• Equipment for sampling for age determination remained on UDG and no more samples were taken
• There is no common market presence
• Unfortunately it can be said that the cluster does not exist in the right way
