Primary education Primary education is

comprehensive and obligatory for all pupils. Primary school No 1 is coeducational like most public schools in Poland. Since 1999/2000 children between the ages of 7 and 13 attend it for a period of 6 years.

General education in primary schools is divided into two stages:

fist stage including grades I to III – integrated teaching

second stage of education including grades IV-VI
