Main focus point of bedroom decor- Collage poster

Taking inspiration from the Pinterest moodboard I created, I combined photos from festivals (the main protagonist with her friends), concert tickets from iconic indie bands such as The Arctic Monkey etc, drawings linking to artistic hobbies and quirky objects to make the mise en scene engaging and interesting to audiences.

Indie art galleries such as the Guggenheim, concert tickets and photographs. Main prop within this composting is the vintage style contact sheet with images of both characters.

Objects on the top shelf

Books linking to the hobby of literacy also featuring popular authors with the indie audience being John Green. Quirky objects such a mask, photography of a bike, old style photo frame and moth, makes the mise en scene interesting and giving an insight into the main protagonist, these object possibly showing her worldly travels, the mask from being from Venice and the moth being an exotic creature. As well as the old style photo frame relating to both primary and secondary audiences by combining past and present styles.

Combination of old records and CDs show development of music genre through time yet also expands further on the style of both past and present that many indie fans have a passion for. Reading festival map indicating memories of the main protagonist, bottles of alcohol around the

showing that alcohol and cigarettes are an impacting factor on this story.

Bed sheets, pillows, guitar and second poster

I purchased these bed sheet for this music video because of the grey and purple colour scheme as to link to the colour scheme of the ancillary products. The pillows keeping with the colour scheme as well as including an old typewriter which inspired me from the mood board. The second poster here is from a creative Japanese director who focuses on hand drawn animation, engaging film fans and artists into the music video mise en scene through interests. The guitar will also act as a prop within the scene but by including this into the music video’s mise en scene it shows the style of music to the viewer.
