MANAGER’S REPORT
I hope everyone had a great holiday season. I
want to thank all the members, staff and board
members for welcoming me on board. It has
been very busy with Celebrations of life,
birthday parties and the Vancouver Island Pro
Wrestling this past month. We are increasing
our bookings for Weddings and other functions
in the coming months which is keeping us very
busy.
Our Ways and Means team continues to do the
Branch proud and I have had numerous
compliments on their service and food. We
have hired a new cook, Dean Johnston, so please
welcome him to the Branch when you see him
delivering meals. Watch for his dinner specials
and new menu as he settles in.
Our bar staff will be checking everyone for
their membership cards over the next three
months so please do not give them a hard time
if you get asked more than once. Please! If you
bring a guest into the Branch make sure you
sign them in in the guest book.

CHAPLAIN’S CORNER
Happy New Year to all our Legion families!
May you be strengthened and renewed in 2016!
Have you ever boarded the train, bus or Plane and wondered if you
are headed for the right place?
Revelation 21 (NKJV) (Our Heavenly Home)
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
22 Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down
out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband.
23 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and
they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be
their God.
24 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall
be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more
pain, for the former things have passed away”.. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or
causes[o] an abomination or a lie, but only
those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”” I trust your name is in His book – Blessings,
Cecil Kleu

Royal Canadian Legion Branch#91 Ladies Auxiliary
We hope everyone had a nice Christmas.
We held our meeting on January 14th 2016 with 12 members and 3
guests in attendance.
Gail, Pat H, and Marilyn worked the meat draw in December. Pat C,
Pat H, Shauna, Gail, Marilyn, Lynda, Heather, Barbara, Donna, Rita,
Bea and Trudine helped the Branch with the gift wrapping at the
Westshore Town Center Mall during the month of December. It
was nice to get to know more of the Branch members while we
were all working together.
Rita and Trudine went to Broadmead’s Birthday Party gave out cards and a flower to each Birthday person. They also had a great
visit with our adopted Vet Marjorie. She was enjoying the party
and listening to the band.
We had a nice Christmas lunch and meeting at Jasmines. Gail was
busy recruiting.
Our next craft and garage sale is April 10th 10am to 2pm. Please
mark your calendar
If anyone is ever thinking of giving away their card tables the LA
would like to find a few more for our teas.
Respectfully Submitted
Trudine Wilson
