Hello everybody! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy, and are excited/nervous for things to go back to normal, or rather, our NEW normal! Although our office is still
closed to the public, our Lending Library has re-opened for curbside pick-up. Give us a call if you have materials you need to return, or for instructions and pick up times to borrow new materials. Our Toy and Resource Lending Library catalogue is available online through the YMCA of Northern BC website at: https://nbc.ymca.ca/ - under
Community Initiatives, then Initiatives & Programs.
It was such a wonderful pleasure to meet many of you during Child Care Appreciation Month of May. I know it has been especially challenging the last couple of months and
you have worked tirelessly to make sure children of essential service workers were given priority care, while continuing to support your regular families during this pandemic.
Thank you for everything that you do each day with children.
Facebook Live Circle Times are still ongoing on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00am. Thursdays at 11:00am, a variety of activities are demonstrated for school age children.
‘Like’ the YMCA of Northern BC Facebook page to tune in and join in with me! As always, I am available via phone, email, or video chat. If you need help with anything throughout the next few months, connect with me. For child care providers that usually close for the summer: have a wonderful time off, enjoy the sunshine, and I look forward
to re-connecting with you in September.
♡ Sending positive thoughts and love to you and your families! ♡-Lea Rodger, Community Consultant-

Outreach Corner
.
Happy Summer. The daylight is longer and the outside is available to stretch our legs. It may look a little different than we anticipated, but there is still so much to
be grateful for.
In the outreach corner we have a new feature for the coming months. Every Tuesday Afternoon there is a zoom opportunity. We will help you find resources for parenting topics, funding questions, child care ideas, and more. Tuesdays 1:30pm-
3:00pm and every 4th Tuesday 6:00pm-7:30pm to get the zoom sign on information go to:
https://nbc.ymca.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/CCRR_Outreach_01.pdf
I will be checking in with you every two weeks, if you have any questions, concerns or changes in service. Always feel free to email or call the office, we are happy to
help! I hope that this will be a great summer for all with many new and fun activities to do with the children in your care.
