As always we have a very busy term in front of us so please keep your calendar of events handy and check your child’s bag for notes. Kindergarten Orientation Next Thursday, 25 October, our orientation program for 2019 kin- dergarten students will com- mence. This program runs for 8 weeks and is a great way for us to assess students and more importantly give them an experience at big school. This program has been very successful in ensuring our kindergarten students start the year on a positive and confident note. Enrolments for 2019 kindergarten places are still open. Windsor High School Cookfest Next Friday our year 5 students will be attending Windsor High School to participate in a cookfest. Have great day Southies and don’t eat too much! Peter Hayes Principal Year 6 Baby Photos We require Year 6 students to bring in as soon as possible a photograph or two of when they were a baby / younger for the Year 6 slideshow. Any photographs brought in need to be placed in a ziplock bag with the students name written on the back and giv- en to Miss Parker. Please note that these photographs will be re- turned once they have been scanned to add to the slideshow. The photos can also be sent to Miss Parker or Miss Telfer via the SeeSaw App. Miss Parker and Miss Telfer Hawkesbury Music Festival This year’s Hawkesbury Music Festival performance will be held at the Windsor Function Centre on Tuesday 23rd October. Stu- dents involved in the Music Fes- tival will be attending a rehearsal during the day. The evening show begins at 7pm and concludes at approximately 9pm. The Primary Choir, Havana Band and Belle musical scene will need to meet Miss Telfer and Miss Parker at the Func- tion Centre at 6:30pm. Tickets for parents and family are still available from the school office. If you would like additional tick- ets, please contact the office.
