Principal’s Reflections
On behalf of the P&C and
Canteen committee, I would like
to thank Rev Doug and the
Beresfield / Thornton Parish for
their donation of a commercial
three door fridge to our school.
Thank you also to the generosity
of parents who gave money
towards this endeavour, as the
door seals needed to be
replaced at a cost of $300.

Have a safe and happy
Winter break everyone.
School returns for all students
on Tuesday 19th of July.
Winter Holiday Break
Our students with the help of
parents and community, are
producing a quality mural to
be proudly displayed on the
outside of the library as you
enter the school. Thank you to
Ms Yeend for organising this.
NAIDOC Mural
During the Winter months,
there is a temptation for the
children to turn up in “odds
and sods” of clothing.
Please remember we are a
uniform school and proud of it!
If your child has misplaced his /
her jumper, please check with
the classroom and / or lost
property.
Uniforms & Winter
Our school prides itself on
the opportunities provided
for all students. Creative and
Performing Arts is one quality
example . Last Thursday, our
students had the opportunity to
attend the FGHS musical. It
was wonderful to see a number
of our former students in key
roles in that musical. It is even
more fantastic to see that the
skills and interests developed
here at Tarro PS have
continued onto High School.
Well done !
FGHS Musical
These will take place early
next term for all classes.
Your child’s teacher will send
home information about times
and dates to meet and to
discuss your child’s progress,
interests, strengths and future
directions for 2016.

School Information
Sometimes students stay at home for reasons that are not acceptable like:
Birthdays
Too tired to come to
attend school because of a late night
Stay home with siblings
or parents who are sick
Staying away for a
whole day when an appointment is booked for a short time in the morning or afternoon
The weather, for
example, it’s too hot, too cold, raining.
Students staying at home for these reasons will be marked as an unjustified absence. Regular attendance helps your child develop the skills needed to access the world of work and other opportunities and learn the importance of punctuality and routine.
Students Absences
Just a reminder that Tarro
Public School is a sun safe
school all students out in
the playground need to be
wearing their school hat.
Those students without a hat
will be asked to play under
the sheltered area near the
office.
