MAJOR PARTS OF THE SCROLL SAW

• The speed adjustment controls the speed of the blade.

• The blade tension adjustment adjusts the tension on the blade when you install a blade.

• The hold down adjustment is a metal arm used to hold the material being cut to the table.

• The blower nozzle blows dust away from the cut so you can see your cutting line on the material.

1. The blade is a circular band of steel with teeth shaped on its front edge. 2. The upper blade guide is an assembly that keeps the blade from twisting. The depth of cut is adjusted by raising or lowering the upper blade guide. 3. The upper blade guide adjustment knob is used to raise and lower the upper blade guide. It is on the right side of the saw. 4. The work table is the support for the material to be cut. A miter gauge slot is formed into the table to cut angles on the saw. The work table also has a fence guide to cut straight lines. The table is also able to tilt for angle cuts. 5. The miter gauge is a guide that will adjust to cut angles and 90 degrees. 6. The fence is a guide for straight cuts and for re-sawing thickness.
