Feelings

Mixtures

The first time I stepped into the High School building, I felt a bit anxious to see who were my classmates. When I saw who were my classmates, I was sure that it will always be lively in the

class. As months came by, I saw everyone improving and even learning new things about their selves. We faced a lot of challenges but if we worked together, we were able to overcome it. Each of us has a unique talent and if

we combine it together as one class, we become the perfect class.

High 1’s curriculum is a mixture of both simplicity and complexity. There were times that I could easily get the lesson and there were times that I didn’t. As I expected, High 1’s lessons are harder than before but I was able to get good grades thanks to my classmates who would help me in times of need. Sometimes, our projects would consist of something that a person can’t do like using technology. It’s hard to do some projects if it requires a talent that some people don’t have, but sometimes the projects would be in groups and that allows people to work together in order to attain maximum proficiency. Depending on the project’s requirements, some people would easily pass or some people would fail bad.

HUZZAHIn my whole High 1 life, the one I will remember the most will be the School Fair. I saw how everyone pitched in to help with our booth and how people contributed so that we could be 1st place. The teamwork displayed by High 1H was amazing. How each people sacrificed something for the sake of the section. It was a time where the whole class became united.

The service interaction with the bilibid inmates gave us an idea on how prisoners were. We saw different kinds of people and saw how much they wanted to change. My partner, Mark said that the people who wanted to change found their true talent. Singing, dancing , drawing, they all found it there. Although it was hard for them to live there, they said that they learned their mistakes. The bilibid visit showed us that not all people who are in jail are bad but there are also some who are good.

After most of the Xavier events, we had a recollection and reflected back on our service interaction with the bilibid inmates which was fun and a bit on our freshman life. One of the activities we did in the recollection was the candle sharing activity. Basically we either forgive or thank a person then pass the candle to him so it’s his turn to share it. It was both dramatic and funny. The forgiving part was actually funny because of the reasons why. The food was also delicious and could’ve been the best food we ever tasted in Xavier. This event made H1 a very memorable experience.OpportunitiesChirstmas, Chinese New Year, Literature day, these are some of the events performed by our school. These events showcase not only the importance but also different talents performed by different individuals and clubs. We saw the StageFX working with their effects during movies, DanceX dancing, Choir Club singing. Xavier School hold these events not only for fun but to also showcase to everyone how students are talented. They show how students can work together to achieve something greater and these events are the way to prove it.
