Smoke test is not recommended due to :
• Harmful to human being• Attack pipe surface• contaminate the surrounding environment
Air test is acceptable but it is difficult to detectthe leaking point
Fog test is an alternative for air test
Speaker : William K.H>.CheungCIPHE Plumbing Course 14 May, 2008
Fog Liquid
The fog used should be safe tohuman being, the environment, and the pipe material
Speaker : William K.H>.CheungCIPHE Plumbing Course 14 May, 2008
The fog continue to discharge at thehigh point of the pipework. Turn thevalve to nearly close to keep the pipesin positive pressure status.
Connect the fog machine and blowerat the low low point of the pipe tomaximize the volume of fog in the pipe
