Prints and Graphic Works by Leon Pescheret Presented by Michael J. Cesario, ‘71 April 19-28 Opening Reception: April 19 5pm-7pm Crossman Gallery University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Thanks to a generous gift from our alumnus Michael J. Cesario ’71, the university’s collection of Leon Pescheret prints and graphic works have been newly rematted and framed. This inaugural exhibit is set to coincide with the Sesquicentennial Celebration and will feature a selection from the over 170 works that were conserved. Mr. Pescheret (March 15, 1892 – February 23, 1971) spent much of his working career living in Whitewater. His research into printmaking techniques took him to Europe and our collection includes images of historic architecture in England and France as well as the United States. Scenes of Whitewater are well represented, as are landscapes, seascapes and images from the Southwest where he moved after closing up his studio in Whitewater. Leon Pescheret, The Rialto,Venice
