4. TRYOUT DAYS WILL NOT BE MADE UP FOR THIS

GRADES & ELIGIBILITY• Student athletes are required to be passing all of their

classes

• Grade checks are done by the Athletic Dept every 2 weeks

during the season.

• Any player found with a grade of F has 2 weeks to raise

that grade to passing.

• After that time if the grade is still a F the player is ineligible

for games until the grade is raised to passing.

• It is the coaches decision on whether the player participates

in practice.

• Any player who failed a class for 3rd quarter sits a

mandatory of 2 games.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE & ELIGIBILITY

• Student athletes are required to attend all of their

classes during the school day.

• If you are ABSENT from school for more than HALF

the day you are ineligible to practice or play that day.

• If you have an UNEXCUSED ABSENSE during any

part of the school day you are ineligible to practice or

play that day.

• If you are having issues with tardiness you will be

suspended from play and practice.

CHEMICAL USE & ELIGIBILITY

•Student athletes found in possession

and/or under the influence of Alcohol,

Tobacco, Narcotics are ineligibility

from play for 6 weeks (1st offense) and

1 year (2nd offense).

•You will get caught.

COMMUNICATION WITH COACHES

If a Player or Parent has a question, concern,

conflict

• It is the PLAYER’S responsibility and obligation to

contact the coach.

• Making/Released from Program

• Role on Team

• Missing a Practice/Game

FRESHMEN TRYOUTS SCHEDULE

• When: Monday, March 9th & Tuesday, March 10th

• Where: Pitch 2 Pitch Burnsville

• Time: 3:30 pm to 6:15 pm

• Transportation: Bus will be leaving PLHS at 3:30

pm to take ALL Freshmen players to P2P. Bus will

also bring you back to P2P. Do not arrange your

own transportation. Leave school bags in locker

room.

FRESHMEN TRYOUTS SCHEDULE

• When: Wednesday, March 11th

• Where: Savage Sports Dome

• Time: 6:20 pm to 9:30 pm

• Transportation: Need to arrange your own.

• Time: 3:15 pm

• At least 1 coach will meet with each player to inform them of

their status in the PLHS baseball program

• A & B teams will NOT be picked by this date

• Bring all your school stuff, you will be leaving after your

meeting

TRYOUT / EVALUATION PROCESS

• You will HIT everyday, you will FIELD everyday

• Everyone will participate in INF drills & OF drills

• Pitchers will throw bullpens during tryout week

• There will be a speed/conditioning test everyday

• Tryouts will be PROCESS oriented, not RESULT oriented

• Looking at: -Physical Skill -Mental Toughness

-Athleticism -Versatility

-Work ethic -Team/Program need
