It is said that the greatest feeling in the world is LOVE. Love is that one feelingwhich makes the rich - richer, the happy - happier. The day we are born in this worldwe experience the love of our parents,in the school there are teachers and friends.Friends and friendship are the other most important things in our lives - or as somepeople say - they are THE most important things in our lives. Then comes the love

of our siblings - the sisterly and brotherly love,the relatives and ofcourse the schooland college crushes. Crushes are something we can laugh at at all the times. Thatdrooling over the person we like,the giddy feelings,the gushy mushy blushes... andif you actually look back at your first crush, then you will notice that he/shehappened to be one of the most handsome/beautiful guy/girl you happened to seein your life. Its more like a fact. It's later (with experience sometimes) that werealise that it isnt the looks we are looking for in our partners,it is the "soul-mate"thing that we are in search for. What use it is of a relationship if your guy doesn'tattend your call because he wants to enjoy a party,though he happens to be socharming? What use it is if your girl thinks it is more important to visit a parlourthan meeting your ailing mother?

Actually, you never know when you meet your Mr. or Ms. perfect. It is simple to saythat when your heartbeat increases, and when you get some signals from God, youare in love. But that isnt oh-so-simple. You may meet that person in your cousin'smarriage,or online via net,or through friends,or in any random function. The storywritten here is where the two met in an exhibition - the randomest of the randomplace!

LOVE - IT HAPPENS.

The tenth board exams had just got over. JAYNI had just had a sigh of relief. Shewas about to close her eyes and rest on her soft cosy bed when her dad entered herroom.

"May i disturb my princess for a while?"

Jayni,smilingly,"ofcourse dad. come in."

Siting on the bed,beside her,he said " so what are you thinking to do next? Doctor?fixed?"

Jayni nodded. "Dentist. Dont expect me to study for 9-10 years in medical,dad. It'sall i can think of right now. My mind needs rest,you see. Let's talk about this thenext morning. what do you think?"

Her dad smiled. Kissing her on her forehead,he said " yes. you may rest now.goodnight."

"It's tomorrow noon. Sunday. 9 to 2. I want to go there dad," jayni said as she satbeside her dad the next morning. Her mother was busy in the kitchen. "yeah. it'skinda perfect for you. but we will go at 10 tomorrow. I don't want to waste my nap

time." jayni and her dad shared a light moment. These small things really got hergoing. what would it be like without her parents? her dad? "i'd probably benowhere",she thought.

Career Exhibition - 2009-10. Rifle Club.

The hoardings were all put up on the entry gates of the club. Jayni waited as herdad came after parking the car. she was excited. it wasnt like she had been waitingfor this,but there was something inside her which forced her to smile.

They entered in,and explored. From dentistry to optometry,she and her dad hadexplored all. It was her favourite time now - time to eat! As she headed over thefood counter, she met her friend - Nisha.

"hey! jayni, you here? great! how were the exams?"

jayni smiled. "fine. so,what doing? With whom are you here?" she looked abovenisha's shoulders. "can't see your mom or dad"

"am here with my bro. and his best friend of course. and u?"

"my dad"

both exchanged smiles. they went to collect their food.

"ok. i guess i'll have to excuse myself. dad must be waiting for the food."

nisha smiled back. as they were about to leave, nisha saw her bro's friend runningtowards her.

"hey! meet him. he's ADITYA. my bro's friend"

jayni stopped to look at him. both smiled.

"nice to meet you ms....?"

"jayni.",she smiled.

"nice smile",he shot back. "but," looking hungrily at food " i have to do some self service of intaking the food for my stomach."

he took the plate from nisha's hand and gestured her to move soon.

"oh," he said.

Smilingly,they parted ways...

It was just another meeting. Casual meeting. who knew that years later,they'll turnout be the ones they were looking for? soul - mates?

It is always said that if you are made for each other,no matter what you do meetupon each other by chance or as they say it was destined to meet. You neverknow the purpose of your meeting,it can be another casual meeting too. It is morelike what you chose it to be.

Jayni sat on her bed,thinking about the latest love story she had just read. Lovestories be it novels or films had always fancied her. She truly believed inlove,wanted to experience one too. But she had set for herself a perfect life anarranged marriage and a proper career. She always imagined how her Mr. Perfectwould be. That very imagination made her smile. Just then her phone beeped. Itwas her friend Akriti.

god damn, its been ages ms.jayni came onl! Come online now...its vac man!!! ,akritis msg read.

Jayni quickly on-ed her computer. She logged on to orkut. The number of friendrequests made her realised how true Akriti was. It HAD been ages she went online...39 friend requests.

Firstly, she quickly said a hi to her friend. The two got talking about the latestmovies,fashion and food. Side by side she continued to accept and reject the

requests. Out of 39 requests,atleast 20 had been from the unknown people. whydo they have to send requests to unknown people? Wierd people!,she thought. Shethen came across a request from certain aditya kashyap. Was it an instinct or wasit her fondness for the name,she stopped to look at his profile. He was online. Theyshared a hi and started talking. She saw his pics and realised it was the sameAditya she had met in the exhibition. She smiled,for no particular reason. As shehad no pics of her in the profile,she reminded him of the girl he met in theexhibition.

Aditya took about 5 seconds to reply,oh the girl with the sweet smile? (wink) yeah iremember. What fate,i just sent you a request by chance. Nothing in particular.

Jayni thought that he was one of the wierd people too. Nevertheless, sheaccepted his request before telling him good-bye as she had to go for helping hermom in cooking.

Aditya replied good-bye and added,when are you coming online next? Any fixedtime?

not really. I come whenever i wish to. What about you?

i mostly come at 5 5.30. after job.

Jayni checked the time on her wrist watch. It was 6. Particular guy,she thought.

hmmmm... ok. Lets see,if am free then,will surely come.

Aditya sent her a smiley. yup ok. Tc. Bbye.

Jayni was just about to log off when he said wait.

what?, jayni replied,more out of curiosity.

Jayni couldnt help but laugh. She had always been a movie and a t.v buff or asher friends would say typical filmy. Hum hai rahi pyar ke phir milege chalte chaltehad been a popular way of saying bye nowadays due to the bollywood movie Rabne banadi jodi.

Next day Jayni got up late (around 8,as usual). It was the same monotonousschedule,wake up,drink milk,help mom,read newspapers and get ready. She feltquite relaxed in her holidays,no long hour tuitions,no worries about tests and examsand the following tension about marks. She was happy with the way her boards had

Later She looked up at the watch. It was just 1 and she had had her lunch,readnovels and newspapers and had been watching the movie since an hour.

ok,so i do like watching t.v but there comes a limit. Theres nothing coming up ont.v and i am bored,she thought.

She then suddenly remembered what Aditya had said. Hed be online at 5-5.30.yeah ill go online. Nice way of passing time,and he seems to be a genuine guy.

She had always been in an all-girl school. Never had she exactly talked to a guy.She thought if Aditya would get some wrong signal. but i had always wanted a guyfriend. And whats wrong in talking with him. Its just a chat,jayni, stop being sopessimistic,sh scolded herself and finally decided to go online at 5.

She typed her password as she went online. He had not come online yet. However

she had her other classmates and friends online. She chatted with them and forgotabout the passing time. Suddenly,at around 5.45 she got a hi from Aditya.

oh hi,she replied,came too soon!

Aditya took his time to reply. He asked, sorry had gone to have tea. And am not sowell you see.

Before Jayni could reply, he asked her,you had been waiting for me?

Jayni sat up straight. She HAD come online to talk to him. But nothing intentional.And then she chatted with her friends and didnt exactly mind much of him cominglate.

not exactly. Had been here with friends,she replied. She couldnt tell him that shehad come online at 5 sharp.

ohh..ok,was all he replied.

Jayni took about 5 minutes to reply. so,what happened with you? You said youarent well.

yea.. you see i must have eaten something wrong. Every 5 minutes i have to pay a

visit to my bathroom. Jayni smiled again,actually laughed. He need not be so goody goody towards herand think before replying. He replied so much easily,with no certain inhibitions. Sherealised that he had a good sense of humour.

It was this that made her stop for a while. Why did he always have to ask beforetelling her?? She had never talked to a guy,and now that she is talking,she felt itkind of wierd. Wierd in the sense not because she was talking to guy,it was becauseshe had never talked to a guy BEFORE. Theres always a first time.

Jayni smiled and then laughed. He was a genuine as well as a guy with good senseof humour. Good,she thought. She checked the time again. It was 6.10 Its beenmore than an hour shed been online. She quickly told bye to her friends with whomshe had been chatting and went offline.

That night she and her elder sister,Aisha got talking. They had always had a greatbond. They shared everything. They knew exactly about their lives than anyoneelse. They shared their crushes,the first guy who proposed them and even had theirfights. it had always been more of aishas fault at times. She and i had always beenopposites. Not like am always correct,but 75% i see its her fault,she thought. Butshe always knew her sis would always be there with her throughout the lifetime.She told him about Aditya.

aditya? Whos he?

nishas bros friend. To make it simpler, hes my friend too now.

Aisha smiled,wittily. Jayni knew what that meant.

friends i said. We cant be friends? Like you and samir?

Samir and aisha had always been online friends. From the time aisha was in tenth. Jayni had always been sort of jealous of him. Aisha never gave her that muchattention as she gave to samir. But jayni was only in fifth when they had beenfriends. She wasnt mature and big enough to be buddies with her sis. Now,it wasdifferent. Aisha did chat with samir,but she knew now what her sis would always bewith her,no matter how much she chatted with him.

Jayni smiled back. So what if hes sweet and genuine? Arranged marriage is what iwant,she thought. And more than that,she would hate if she had to pair up withAditya. Hes sweet,but a friend. Just a friend.

The next day a friend visited Jayni. Jiya had been her best-est friend since they were

. Jiya had always been more modern and open amongst the two. She even hadthe guts to tell a guy that she liked him when they were in 9 th . However,the guytook it as some joke and laughed it off.

Jiya giggled. not that silly. We had much activities to do and so couldnt catch upwith you. Anyways what i want to say is that i met a guy there. Vaibhav. Pet namemickey. Hes in college. And damn handsome!

Jayni could see the twinkle in jiyas eyes. She really did like him. She wonderedabout herself. How come she never happened to like someone?!

Aditya replied quickly,i was just about to go offline. Where were you?met a friend after 2 weeks. Was with her so...

Having chatted for a month now,it was common for them to talk about their day today activities.

Aditya pobably must be smiling there,jayni thought. Soon her mom called her.Before she could tell him she had to go,he asked her if she had mobile.

yea i have. Ok listen i gtg, mom calling,jayni replied quickly.

Her mom called her again. coming ma,she shouted.

good. So do you give others your number?,aditya replied,ignoring that she had togo.

i said i have to go. Mom calling me.

Jayni didnt think. She didnt have time to think. Her mom was calling her,and hermom didnt like if she went late. It really pissed her off.

ok now bye, will msg you later or whatever. She replied quickly and logged off without waiting to see his reply.

After dinner,jayni came inside her room. She had been reading her latest love story so little time. Suddenly she remembered that she had adityas number. Shequickly searched his number in her mobile and renamed it with a girls name. Shethought. She decided to store his number as sanjana. It wasnt like she wasntallowed to chat with guys in her home,but she wouldnt like if her mobile wouldcome in her moms hand and would ask about aditya. And she knew she couldnttell her mom about the online friend. She thought for a while. She then msged himhave a happy and safe journey. Tc. Bye. jayni.

Next morning she woke up early. She had joined the vedic maths classes. It was asearly as 7 to 9 a.m Jiya was a bit amused. She wanted her to enjoy her holidaysrather than sitting and learning maths. But jayni enjoyed there. All were younger to

her except a guy who studied in college. She even made some young friends there. They were very sweet.

As she came home after the classes and entered her room,she took out her cell tocheck if she had any messages. There were 2 messages. One from vodafonecompany and other from aditya. She deleted the first message and read the second.It was some good morning forward he had sent. Jayni first thought not to reply. Butthen she remembered that he was supposed to be out of station.

After about 6 minutes she got a reply. woke up too soon ha,ms. Jayni. Its just 9.05now! :P no i didnt go,am not well.

Jayni thought for a second. Was he really going to go out of town or he lied just toget my number? Was jiya true when she said that about having an online friend?

But jayni chose not to ask this to aditya. She didnt want to show any such affection.She just replied that she had woken up at 6 and had gone to attend her classes. Andnow she had to go to help her mom.

As she changed her clothes and went downstairs,she got another msg from himwhich read,how much do you need to help your mom ha? K. Bye.

Jayni didnt smile this time. She was like convinced he had lied. Whatever it was,shewent inside to help her mom.

It was 1 p.m later that day. Jayni laid on her bed reading the novel. She got amessage from aditya. She stopped reading to check his message. u busy?

Jayni replied no. And that she had been reading a novel. After exchanging fewmessages,jayni again started smiling to herself. Whatever it was,a lie or truth,hewas a sweet guy. She soon learnt that he was working in his maternal uncles shopand that he had been staying with his mom and masi. He was also side by- sidelooking for jobs and giving interviews.

you know you are really lucky for me,aditya typed on yahoo as the two sat onlinethat day at their usual 5 pm.

i got two calls for interview today. Like saamne se. So.

Jayni smiled. its just a co-incidence. But am more than happy for you. I want atreat ok?

But jayni knew she couldnt go alone with him. Not only would her family say no,butshe would find it wierd. But she even knew that hed never give her a treat. She justknew it.

It had been a week since they shared their number. It was like daily they wouldmessage each other. They would tell each other everything from what they wore

and ate to their respective first boyfriend and girlfriend. Both had none. Jaynilearnt that aditya was just her opposite. He didnt believe in love at all. He infactnever even wanted to marry. Jayni always wondered how badly he would treat hiswife no romance, nothing.

That night as they were chatting through texts,jayni could feel as if he wasnt ok.His messages were to the point. Nothing funny,no comments.

are you alright?,she messaged him.

yea,what would happen to me? I am like i was. Nothing wrong with me.he replied.

Jayni found something wrong. She had never known that he could reply like this.She didnt knew if it was sarcasm or frustation.

She didnt know what to reply next.

She simply wrote,you had dinner na?It was about 8 minutes but he didnt reply. What could be wrong with him? Shethought.

She got a message then.

ya i had. Why cant we simply have what we want? We try so hard,but we get noresults. Ppl dont even understand us. They talk as if you are the only one withnothing in your hand. Aditya replied.

Jayni read the message again. She didnt get what he was saying. It was then she

remembered. His interview!

hey,you talkin about the interview rite? It k,adi. It happens. So what if you didntget this job,youll get another. God always plans the best for you.

Aditya replied after 5 minutes. He took long time to message her then.please,dont get me into all this. The God you are talkin about cant see the workam doing. I have given so many interviews,but none worked out. Y? Cant he seeme? Stop all this crap k.

Jayni could feel how frustated he was. She didnt know how to console him. She

cant even leave him like that. He was a friend afterall.it happens. Not only with you. There are many. See,we never see the pains othergo through. Its just our pains we find the toughest. Atleast you have your unclesshop to work at. Atleast you arent unemployed like others. Try again,ull surely getselected somewhere. Its ok.

Maybe aditya felt better. There was someone afterall who consoled him.

Jayni felt a bit relieved. He might be fine now,she guessed.

She sent him a message of take care and good night. Soon she got a message. Itwas a forward by aditya. It said something about friendship,and about how sweetfriend she was. She simply smiled and went to sleep.

It was may 29. Jayni was getting a bit tensed now. She would be getting her resultson june 4.

She sat on her bed,thinking approximately about the marks shed score in theexams. She was sure shed get 85+ but she didnt tell anyone. Except her family.Not even aditya. She didnt want him to think of her as show off or something.

Suddenly she got a message. Adityas. She read the message.

guess what???? I got the job! Its at travel o citi. It feels amazing!!

Jayni smiled. She was happy for her friend.

She typed see,i told na that God always plans the best for you. U bhi na,yuhitension le rahe the. But what about my treat ha?

They had started calling each other chudel and shaitan. It was aditya who started itall. They had great time chatting with each other.

btw,you know its been two months we became friends and one month since wehave our numbers,but how come we never called each other? I havent even heardyour voice properly!,aditya messaged.

Jayni thought about it. It was true. And it never clicked her.

June 1 came soon. Jayni didnt remember aditya was to call her. She was supposedto go out with her mom for shopping. She sat in her room getting ready. She startedgetting unknown calls on her mobile. She picked up. No one spoke. She said helloseveral times but no response.

She got such several calls,but no one spoke a word. She started cutting the callthen,thinking it may be some idiot trying his chance on a wrong number.

Again the call came. She picked up this time. She was irritated and said hello loudly.Maybe the person there got to know about her iriitation. She heard a soft hellofrom the other side. A guy was speaking.

He was speaking so softly,she had no idea what he was trying to tell. Soon her sister

knocked her door. She gave the cell to her,telling to understand what he wasspeaking.

But just as her sis said hello the call got cut. Her di shrugged and went. Again thecall came. Jayni picked up.

agar baat nai karni toh phone kyu karte ho?,she blurted out.

am aditya,he finally spoke,clearly.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... u?,she said,happily. am so sorry. I didnt knew udactually call. But listen we cant talk right now. Mom calling. Shopping time.

oh ok.,aditya said,a bit shyly.

btw,this is your office number?

yes.

ok. Ill store it. So i know when you are calling me next time,she smiled and said.

They ended their call with bye. As jayni went with her mom,she kept thinking.

Did he actually call? But he was so shy? Maybe,because he was in the office. Shethought how she spoke. Did i over-react when i said that ohhhh...? these thoughtsoccupied her mind,as she continued to shop.

Jayni sat in front of her pc. She was tensed and excited at the same time. It was june 4,time for her results. Her dad,mom and sister all surrounded her as shechecked her result. She typed her seat number... and her result was....89%!!!

She was happy. Alot. She got 85% above what she wanted. As her family

congratulated her,she remembered what aditya had said. He had told her to informher reuslt first to him. She quickly excused herself,went to the room and texted herbest-est friend.

great..congo!! you actually got so much? he replied back.

lol. Very funny. Ok msg u later. Getting calls from relatives.

ok. And congo again.

After about half an hour aditya called her. This time he didnt seem so shy. Hecalled her up and asked each and every subjects marks to her. She gladly told her

marks. She was on cloud 9 that day.

ok. Now i want a treat ha.,aditya said,sounding as happy as her.

lol. You didnt give,why should i give ha kanjus?

you should give because you arent kanjus. Simple,he replied

you na..huh. fine will give,she said smilingly.

This was what she liked the most about him. He had answers for all questions. Hisanswers would be funny,witty and always managed to make her smile. But

again,both of them knew that no one was giving anyone a treat and that they mightnever meet.

Several months passed by. Even after her school started,she continued messaginghim. And he would also message her whenever he got free from his job. Theirsbecame the best-est friendship. They would be anywhere with anyone but if onemessaged then the other one would surely reply. No matter what.

It was august. That first feeling of possessiveness for each other grew.

A girl named Sachi had got strong feelings for Aditya. Aditya was a good looking guy

fair,with a dimpled chin and silky hair. He had told Jayni about how many girls hadgone ga-ga over him and all. Jayni didnt mind all that. Infact,the time from april toaugust,she knew no girl who had badly fallen for him. And then came Sachi. A girlwho was a year younger to Jayni,living in mumbai,met him through orkut and onseeing his pics,had badly fallen for her best-est friend. She would send him lovescraps and testimonials. Each day,every day. Intially,jayni too teased aditya withher calling her bhabhi and all. But he hated it. He hated sachi alot,thats what hesaid. He even got a bit frustrated at times. Around the same time,jayni got a proposal in her school. As she had chosen sciencestream,she changed her school and was now in a co-ed school,with her best friend

jiya. Jayni had never got a propsal before. She knew about guys having crush onher,but no direct proposals. She was amused. She laughed at him. Not because shewanted to insult him,but because it was like her FIRST proposal to get committed.

Jiya was with her when he proposed her. He had her number. He would send lovepoems which he claimed were writtten by him. But she never believed and justlaughed it off. She never knew that her such simple life would get all twisted. Thatguy who turned out to be a playboy started romancing her best friend. Jiya alwaysfound him handsome. He was very tall,well built and very rich. Jiya started datinghim. Jayni knew he was just using her. She told her,but as they say love is blind she acted blind towards the truth itself. On the other hand,the guy came to knowwhat Jayni was trying to do. He proved himself to be so cheap,that he startedsending Jayni love letters in the classroom. It was like the very first time they realised that they can be a little possessive. Jaynididnt knew how was aditya feeling,but she felt happy somewhere. Maybe,she hadlost her one best-est friend to gain another. But that was probably the last time she

teased him with sachi. And he too,always tried and kept sachi out of their talks.After all,he said he liked her. Not Sachi.

However, as her exams were approaching and out of concern Jaynis cell was taken.She knew that the real reason was something else. Her mom knew that jiya and shewere no longer friends because of her sister. Her mom was livid that she may startcommunicating with her through phone and her mom didnt want her to we friendswith wrong people. She was happy for the concern,but she didnt like people over-doing it. What need was their for taking the cell phone? It was then that her momsaw a number stored as sanjana.

That night Jaynis mom saw that there were two missed calls on jaynis cell phone.Unknown numbers. She asked Jayni if she knew. But she shrugged. She didnt knewwho it was.

She did all she could had lunch,studied,watched t.v and everything but shecouldnt help but miss Aditya. She thought if he was feeling the same.

Jayni decided to take her sisters help.

But time flew soon. Jayni in anyways convinced her parents that she needed thecell. She had her tuitions till late night and so they must give her the cell,lest sheneeded it some day. Jaynis first terminals came. She got busy in her studies,at thesame time chatted with Aditya whenever they got time.

It was on september 28 that it happened.

That night Jayni was totally free. Her exams had just been over and she was busydownstairs watching t.v. Her father would be coming late that day. Her mom wasbusy watching t.v too and her sister was busy preparing for her ongoing exams.Aditya called her online. As her exams were just over,no one would stop her fromgoing online and wasting time.

She went online. Aditya was already online,waiting for her.

Jaynipatel93:hi. Wat happened? We could have talked through messages na.

Aditya_k:no... i was bored messaging. Hands pain. What were you doing?

And as he had promised,he went offline. She sat there,staring at the pc. It wasdefinitely not what she had been thinking. Yes,she liked him,alot. Cared forhim,trusted him. But was it love? While she was thinking about this,a small smilecrept on her face. She looked around to check if anyone had been there. She didntwant anymore problems. She quickly took her cell,and called him. 4 rings and shecut the call. What do i talk to him? Am not angry. Am happy. But what? Should i sayi love him 2? But am i sure its love? She thought about it.
