irst of all let’s start out with a big apol- ogy for calling last weeks “Pepsi Next 100” a little too early. When General Man- ager Tim Bryant looked at the forecast and it said rain all day and into the night, he decided to go ahead and reschedule for Sunday after- noon. A couple hours later, as luck would have it, the weather turned a 180. But, once you make the call, you can’t go back. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a picture perfect day on Sunday and the 32 Supers gave the fans their monies worth. Our best to Bubba Winslow, winning two features last Sunday, Sportsmen and Super Stocks. Bubba, you need a bigger trophy case! ongratulations to Chase Elliott on his sweep at Mobile and Pensacola as he took the win both nights and smiled all the way home $9,000 richer. (See photo on page 3.) The action should be just as ex- citing tonight with the Pro Lates in the Al- len Turner Hyundai 100. The top 5 driv- ers from last year are shown inside. We are especialy delighted to welcome home Johanna Long in the #11 Rollins ride. ook for another strong car count as drivers aim to lock in a spot for the Snowflake 100 in December. Sportsman and Bombers are also on the schedule along with a kids Easter Egg Hunt. fter tonight’s “Allen Turner 100” we’ll give you a week off to get ready for the Lighting Fast, No Holds Barred Extreme Sprint Cars. As I said before, these are not the 360 c.i. mo- tors. The Must See Extreme Sprint Cars run 410 motors and produce 8-900 horsepower. Go ahead and place your bets now on what the new track record will be. riday the 13th will be Open Wheel Only night as the Modifieds and Motorcycles will see action for the first time in 2012. A week after that high school and college science students bring their electric cars out for a day competition in the annual Electrathon. It’s free to watch. Until next time, be safe and we’ll see you at the races.
