PRO-VAC 150-LG-80 VACUUM BAGGING FILM

Technical data:

For low temperature cure up to 120°C

Description:

Packaging and storage

• Modified structure to that of our standard product PRO-VAC 150, It has been designed for the moulding of very large, complicated structures such as boat decks, where the film can be subjected to significant handling and high stresses when vacuum is applied.

• Limited sensitivity to low humidity levels which are often problematic to predominantly nylon based films, as lack of moisture can reduce flexibility. This beneficial characteristic ensures consistent year long performance in all workshop environments.

• Available in both 12m and 16m wide without seams and can also be kitted into large formats by way of vacuum bag sealant tape.

Standard packaging is a strong bubble plastic; the rolls can be packaged in cardboard tubes if requested by customer. This film contains a significant percentage of nylon which is hydrophobic therefore the film’s characteristics may change dependant on workshop and storage environment. PRO-FIX SPRAY ADHESIVE

User guide

Description:

Packaging and storage

• Designed for bonding of dry glass, carbon and aramid fibers for composite structure preparation • Can be also used for fixing core materials – foams and balsa – as well as vacuum consumables like peel ply and breather fabric• PRO-FIX is only available in 500ml cans

Store in temperatures below 50°C and do not expose to direct sun light, flames or source of ignitionPackaged in boxes of 12 cans and pallets of 50 boxes (600 cans) For more information please refer to the PRO-FIX MSDS and when handling products of this nature the user must always conform to their company’s Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.

• Make sure the surfaces which are to be bonded are clean and dry, shake the can well and spray from a distance of 25 cm, hold the can vertically and spray an even layer of adhesive; it must not appear as being wet if it does then move further away from the surface.

• When spraying the adhesive keep a fluid movement with the hand to avoid spraying too much adhesive in one place

• After each application purge the nozzle by spraying the can upside down • To achieving the optimum bond both surfaces must be sprayed with adhesive, wait around

1 minute to allow the solvent to evaporate then press the surfaces together

PRO-VAC HFVL

Process benefits

High flow vacuum line

Specification

Technical details and training

• PRO-VAC HFVL is acost effectivehigh quality micro porous vacuum line which allows air to flow consistently through itself as well as acting as a resin barrier throughout the vacuum infusion process.

• PRO-VAC HFVL consists of a combination of products that have been brought together to make a user friendly and easy hand able robust product.

• Adhesive was chosen as the sealing agent between the layers because during our extensive testing of the PRO-VAC HFVL we found that this method of sealing (instead of welding) produced a much higher quality and durable seal.

• Allows for less complex infusion strategies therefore can reducelabour time• Excellent vacuum compaction throughout the process resulting in a better quality

laminate • Small footprint on the laminate surface• Releases easily from all know resin systems • Can be used as a sacrificial vacuum line to initiate vacuum once the laminate is wet out • Can be used as a single point vacuum outlet to combat troublesome dry areas in already

established process• Does not contain resin after cure therefore no issues with marking due to exotherm• Reduced amount of resin required for the process because no resin is wasted in the

vacuum lines and catch pots
