24Problem Gambling in Licensed Bingo Premises | December 2016 | Version 1 | Internal and Client Use
SUMMARY AND NEXT STEPS Focus of the research has been on behaviours of
frequent visitors to licensed bingo clubs in Great Britain.
Around 1 in 40 regular bingo customers are problem gamblers.
However, it is clear that a subgroup of customers are at moderate or high risk; very frequent visitors; certain activity preferences.
The key challenge is to:(a) identify these customers and (b) deal with “appropriately” to minimise harm.
