MONDAY 17th MAY 9.30AM

There were 19 of us on our last garden outing to Graton Gardens at Birre-gurra. Andrew Ridd made us welcome taking us around his grounds. Such a variety of trees you wouldn't know what was behind the fence. Ponds and even a black brown snake luckily not seen by us. A large Quince Tree that some of us were able to pick. He told us to come again in the Spring when the bulbs will be flowering. Later made our way to the Moriac General Store where we were well looked after by the Staff. Thank you to all who came.

On the 14th April Torquay 8 members of the Torquay Zeally Bay Probus Club came to Anglesea, going to Marg and Rick Sheehan's garden. They were very impressed with their garden especially Rick's garden patch. They then came to our place finishing with morning tea. It was great to have visitors from another group. I am planning on going over there on 25th June to see two gardens and have some lunch afterwards. Please be in touch if you are interested in coming on 0428681085.

Are there any members who would like us to come to their garden ???????

I can hear music coming out of my printer. I think the paper is jammin'

again.

Yesterday, I ate a clock. It was very time consuming - especially when I went

back for seconds.

A girl was visiting her blonde friend, noticed she had acquired two new

dogs, and asked what she named them.

The blonde responded by saying that one was named Rolex and one was

named Timex.

Her friend said, "Whoever heard of someone naming dogs something like

that?"

Whereupon the blonde responded, "What else you gonna name watch dogs?"

"Hello! You have reached the automated answering service of your school. In order to assist you in connecting the right staff member, please listen to all your options before making a selection:- To lie about why your child is absent - Press 1 To make excuses for why your child did not do his work - Press 2 To complain about what we do - Press 3 To swear at staff members - Press 4 To ask why you didn't get information that was already enclosed in your newsletter and several flyers mailed to you - Press 5 If you want us to raise your child - Press 6 To request another teacher for the third time this year - Press 7 To complain about bus transportation - Press 8 To complain about school lunches - Press 9 If you realize this is the real world and your child must be accountable and responsible for his/her own behavior, class work, homework, and that it's not the teachers' fault for your children's lack of effort ... hang up and have a nice day!"

Do you remember Bob Hope? On his death bed they asked him where he wanted to be buried. His answer was, "Surprise me."

ON TURNING 70: 'I still chase women, but only downhill.' ON TURNING 90: 'You know you're getting old when the candles cost more than the cake.' ON TURNING 100: 'I don't feel old. In fact, I don't feel anything until noon. Then it's time for my nap.' ON NEVER WINNING AN OSCAR 'Welcome to the Academy Awards, or, as it's called at my home, 'Passover.' ON GOLF: 'Golf is my profession. Show business is just to pay the green fees.' ON HIS FAMILY'S EARLY POVERTY 'Four of us slept in the one bed. When it got cold, mother threw on another brother.' ON HIS SIX BROTHERS 'That's how I learned to dance. Waiting for the bathroom.'
