MBEs without matchmaker appointments will be given first priority to give a 5-minute presentation to corporations.

WHEN TO WALK AWAY FROM A PROSPECTIVE CLIENTLOCATION: Greyhound Room TIME: 2:30 – 3:45pm

You’ve given the prospective client your best and you still haven’t landed the contract. You’ve followed up and have done everything to be responsive to their requests but still, nothing.

Certified Public Accountants, Lawyers, and Investment Brokers will be there to cover the due diligence process, purchase agreements and transitioning acquired retirement accounts of newly purchased firms.

HOTEL AND TRANSPORTATIONThe 2018 Mid-States Procurement Conference will be held in Carmel, IN. A block of rooms have been reserved at the Holiday Inn for a special rate of $119, plus tax. Please make your reservation as soon as possible to take advantage of this special rate. Once the room blocks are filled, the special rate may no longer be available. Let Holiday Inn know you are with Mid-States MSDC to receive the special rate. Deadline is March 27, 2018.

• Additional stations are available for purchase while supplies last

• Only one business can be displayed per station

• No direct sales or order taking

EVENT /MEAL TICKETSYour identification badge provides access to all meal functions and events. No tickets will be issued. Additional tickets may be purchased on-site if space is available. Advanced purchase is strongly suggested to guarantee space.

IDENTIFICATION BADGESRegistration and identification badges are required to attend all events. ID badges must be worn at all times. Security personnel will be on-site checking badges for conference events. A fee of $75 will be assessed for all badge replacements. ID badges and registration materials will be available on-site starting April 11, 2018.

INVOICESInvoices may be requested, in writing, for the purchase of sponsorship packages only. Payments of invoiced sponsorship packages must be received by the Mid-States MSDC office no later than March 20, 2018. Invoices will not be issued for general registration fees.

CANCELLATIONS/ REFUND POLICY

Requests for cancellations must be made in writing to Mid-States MSDC and postmarked by March 11, 2018. All cancellations are subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations postmarked after March 11, 2018 or for no shows. All refunds will be issued according to the original form of payment.

TAX DEDUCTION

Attendance at the Mid-States MSDC Procurement Conference may be considered an educational expense. Educational expenses are generally tax-deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Consult your tax advisor for additional information. Mid-States MSDC’s federal tax ID number is: 35-1466848.

Children under the age of 18 are not permitted at any Mid-States MSDC conference function or in the exhibit hall at any time. Persons under the age of 21 may not consume alcoholic beverages at Mid-States MSDC events.
