Promote® Forage-Mate® TMR-Mate is a unique blend of organic acids for yeast and mold inhibition to enhance nutrient retention in Total Mixed Rations (TMR).
BenefitsReduces yeast and mold growth in TMR
Reduces nutrient loss due to yeast and mold growth
Enhances dry matter and nutrient intake by lactating cows during heat stress
Research indicates a return on investment as high as 7:1 for nutrient retention during challenging summer conditions
FeaturesResearch-proven blend of organic acids for top performance
Non-corrosive blend, will not damage equipment
Dry form to assure accurate application while blended in the TMR
Storage

• Add Promote® Forage-Mate® TMR Mate to TMRs at the time of mixing
• General Recommendations: 2 – 7 lbs TMR-Mate/ton of TMR
• Introduce 2 lbs of TMR-Mate/ton when temperature exceed 72 degrees or the Temperature Humidity Index (THI) exceeds 68. (See THI chart on reverse side)
•I ncrease rate 1 lb/ton for every 5 point change in THI
These are general recommendations and mixing rates will depend on numerous stress factors including:
• Mold, yeast, & mycotoxin load or contamination
• Challenge of aerobic conditions (i.e. silo face removal rate)
• Grain moisture level and particle size
• Bunk life expectancy rate
Recommended Usage
The above conditions will cause rapid growth of yeasts, bacteria, & mycotoxin producing molds. The more stress factors to which TMR is exposed, the higher the required treatment rate of TMR-Mate.
