Producer Responsibility Organization Plan

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is the responsibility of every producer and brand

owner of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) for channelization of e-waste to an

authorized dismantler/recycler to ensure environmentally sound management of e-waste.

We, Rekart Innovations Pvt. Ltd. being the Producers Responsibility Organization (PRO)

as per E-waste (management) Rules, 2016, are submitting our detailed EPR plan. We

consider to prioritizing compliance and follow all regulations amended time to time by

government authorities related to e-waste management. We hereby submit our EPR plan

having details about the general scheme of collection, channelization plan. RoHS

compliance details etc.

General Scheme of Collection

We have partnered with Namo E-Waste Management Ltd. registered with Haryana State

Pollution Control Board for management and recycling/dismantling/disposal of all our e-

waste.

As a part of agreement, Namo E-Waste Management Ltd. will collect our associated EPR

authorized producer’s E-waste generated from PAN India and dispose the same at their

plant at 14/1 Mathura Road, Faridabad.

• Namo E-Waste Management Ltd, our e-waste management partner is having all

authorization related e-waste dismantling from UPCB/CPCB and having all connects

related to Air/Water/Hazardous waste. They have capacity of 5796 MT per annum. As

per our agreement with Namo E-Waste Management Ltd. If any customer wants to

handover their old product they can reach or call our e-waste recycling partner's Toll Free

No. 18005723605 Our representatives will explain them about process of disposal and

make them inform them about nearest drop point available to them.





Collection Points and Centers

Rekart Innovations Pvt. Ltd. has signed agreement with Professional Logistics Pvt. Ltd.

for reverse logistics for Channelization of E-waste to the facility. Copy of an agreement is

attached for smooth channelization of E-waste. Copy of Collection list is enclosed.

Roles and Responsibilities of Service Providers

Role and responsibilities of Reverse logistics

Reverse logistics services are designed to move E-Waste from their point of consumption

to an end point to capture value or properly dispose it in a safe and sound manner. This

includes managing budgets, organizing schedules & routes. It deals with the collection of

E-Waste, transporting them to a central location, and sorting them according to where

their final destination will be i.e recycling/dismantling etc..

Role and responsibilities of Recycler/Dismantler

A recycler should have facilities for destroying or permanently deleting data stored in the

memory of end of life products (Hard Disk, Telephones, Mobile phones) either through

shredding or grinding or through data eraser.

A recycler /dismantler should have weigh bridge and other appropriate weighing

equipment for weighing each delivery received by it and maintain a record in this regard.

A dismantler has to obtain consent to establish from SPCBs/PCCs under the Water

(Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of

Pollution) Act, 1981

Role and responsibilities of Transporter

They are responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all

transportation matters within the organization. This includes ensuring that vehicles are

safe and meet legal requirements, and making sure that drivers are aware of their duties.

Transport of E-Waste should be carried out as per the manifest system as per the

provisions made in rule 19 of the E-Waste (M) Rules, 2016 and the transporter will be

required to carry a document (three copies) as per form 6 of the rules provided by the

sender. The responsibility of safe transportation of E-waste shall be with the sender of E-

Waste etc.

Do’s for E- Waste

All electrical and electronic products are required to be handed over only to the Authorized

Recycler for recycling.

The e-waste product should be handed over only to authorized recyclers for disposal.

Ensure that only Authorized Recyclers repair and handle your electronic products.

Keep the e-waste in an isolated area, after it becomes non-functional/un-repairable so as

to prevent its accidental breakage.

You can also deposit your e-waste directly at the collection centres.

Always call our E-waste Authorized Collection centres / points to dispose of products that

have reached end-of life.

Always drop your used electronic products batteries or any accessories when they reach

the end of their life at your nearest Authorized E-waste collection centres point.

Always disconnect the battery from the product and ensure any glass surface is protected

against breakage.

Don'ts for E- Waste

Do not dismantle your electronic products on your own.

Do not give E-waste to informal (Kabadi) and unorganized sectors like Local Scrap Dealer

Rag Pickers.

The product should not be opened by the User himself/herself, but only by trained and

authorized service personnel.

Do not keep any replaced spare part(s) from the product in exposed area

Do not dispose of your product in garbage bins along with municipal waste that ultimately

reaches landfills.

Proposed producers awareness and allied initiatives

Each and every customer is advice and create awareness about how can we handle the

electronic goods and channelize it to approved E-waste recycler/dismantler as per E-

waste management rules 2016. Lack of awareness among various stakeholders about

the ill effects of the end-of-life products (e waste), is the major concern in our country. For

reducing the adverse impact on environment and health we need to initiate sustainable

mechanism to create awareness among the stake holders.

Rekart Innovation Pvt. Ltd. has run several awareness programme on environmental

hazards of electronic waste under EPR plan implementation. We plan to provide financial

aid for conducting several awareness programs regularly in places where mass

awareness can be achieved like academic institutions, industry associations and

professional organizations for organizing workshops/seminars for

schools/colleges/resident welfare associations (RWAS)/ bulk consumers/regulatory

bodies, media engagement etc. So that they can provide information regarding buy-back

programme system.

We also try to provide awareness to all by the means of social media like Facebook, and

providing advertisements and posters so that each and every customer would be aware

about how to handle the E-waste.
