STEP 5 Surface to be tiled must be clean, free from contamination and in SSD (Saturated Surface Dry) condition.

Mix Tile Adhesive into water until a lump free mortar consistency is achieved.

Approx. 7-8 ltr. of potable water is required for a 30 Kg bag of tile adhesive. Use slow speed stirrer to get uniform lump free consistency.

Apply tile adhesive on the wall or floor using trowel at a thickness of 3-6 mm and comb with notch trowel. Do not spread in more than 1 sq. m of area at a time.

Clean off excessive adhesive between the joints & on tiles with a damp cloth.

Fix tiles firmly into position with a sliding motion and hammer gently with soft mallet to assume a better bond.

Leave adequate & desirable joints between the tiles by using spacers.STEP 2 STEP 6

The actual coverage however might vary with the type of surface & its flatness. For adequate coverage ensure that the surface is smooth, clean and devoid of any defects or undulations.

For permanent installation of ceramic, vitrified and porcelain tiles on horizontal or vertical masonry surfaces in interiors as well as exteriors. Can also be used for installationof heavy tiles and natural stones (marble, granite) on floors or other horizontal surfaces.

*Please note: Tile Adhesive for normal application is a Grey coloured free flowing powder.

For best results, use Asian Paints cement or epoxy based tile grouts to fill the joints. The tile joints can be filled after 24 hours of application of tiles.

Surface to be tiled must be cleaned to remove any loose particles, free from contamination, and made in SSD (Saturated Surface Dry) condition with water.

Mix Tile Adhesive into water, until a lump free mortar consistency is achieved.

Approx. 11-12 ltr. of water will be required for 30 Kg bag of tile adhesive.

Press the glass mosaic tile firmly, hammer gently with soft mallet to assume a better bond. Ensure that tile adhesive seeps out from the joints of tiles.

Clean off excessive adhesive between the joints & on tiles.

For best results, use Asian Paints epoxy tile grout as tile joint filler.

*Please note: SmartCare Tile Adhesive for Tile-on-Tile Application is a Grey coloured free flowing powder.

STEP 6 Ensure that the existing tiles are firmly adhering to the substrate with a uniform level and adequate joints.

For any hollow sounding areas, remove the tiles and make up with a polymer modified cement sand mortar.

The tiles should be cleaned with detergent and water first and then rinsed with water to remove any dirt/ laitance etc.

Mix Tile Adhesive into water, until a lump free mortar consistency is achieved. Approx. 7-8 ltr. of water for a 30 Kg bag of tile adhesive.

Leave adequate joints between the tiles using spacers.

Do not spread in more than 1 sq. m of area at a time.

Press the tile firmly into position with a slight sliding motion to ensure maximum contact surface.

SURFACE PREPARATION Make sure tiles are firmly set, and adhesive or mortar is completely dry for 24 hours. Remove all spacers, pegs, ropes and string; clean joints by removing free loose dirt particles. To ensure desired results, a mockup installation is required before the actual installation.

PREPARING MIX Always mix complete units. Parts A (Base) and B (Hardener) are packaged to the exact quantity ratio for proper mixing. Partial mixing will result improper/no curing of grout. To get the desired colour of grout, take the required quantity of colour in part A, from Asian Paint’s DTS (Dealer Tinting System) machine (colour quantity to be adjusted based on desired shade). Mix the colour with base properly & ensure homogeneity.In a clean container, mix all of Part A (Tinted material) and all of Part B. Use a slow-speed stirrer for mixing to get a homogenous, consistent color. A small quantity, can be mixed manually at the site.

APPLICATION Press the grout firmly by using a hard rubber squeeze, into joints ensuring that the joints are completely filled.Remove the excess grout material from joints and surface by moving the squeeze diagonally to the grout lines.

CLEANING Clean off the surplus grout from tile joints and surface after 20-25 minutes. Initially use a rough textured sponge dampened with clean water. Use the damp sponge in a circular motion and keep it relative to the tile surface to achieve the flush joint. After completion of work clean the grout haze from the tile with clean water or soap solution.
