Processor

Processor (CPU)Clock speed is a top priority for CAD. Multiple CPU cores boosts multi-threaded processes such as rendering and simulation. Customers may find Core to be a better price/performance solution than Xeon.


Memory

Memory (RAM)16 GB of memory is recommended for CAD, and 32 GB is recommended for complex datasets. ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory is important for high-precision use-cases such as simulation, and otherwise provides additional protection against system crashes and lost data due to memory error.


Storage
