1. Release Subject This document is the release notes and installation notes for Service Pack 2 of release 12.0 of the Avaya Predictive Dialing System (PDS).
1.1. Part Number / Version 12648-02.
1.2. Context Of The Release This is a Service Pack to be installed on top of an existing Avaya PDS release 12.0 version K50 or version K53 with or without Service Pack 1.
Note: If this installation if for a language other than ENGLISH, this Service Pack should be installed on top of PDS 12.0 version K53 before any configuration work is done.
1.3. Audience This document is intended for persons installing and testing this release.
1.4. Supercedes This release is the second Service Pack for Avaya PDS release 12.0 and as such includes everything from Service Pack 1.
1.5. Dependencies / Restrictions This release was created using the UNIX “swpackage” utility and therefore must be installed with the UNIX “swinstall” utility.
This Service Pack can only be installed on an existing Avaya PDS release 12.0 with or without Service Pack 1.

5. Release Installation This section describes how to install and uninstall this release.
5.1. Pre-Installation Procedure This section describes all steps that must be taken before this release is installed.
5.1.1. [_] Log in as admin.

5.1.3. [_] Take any steps necessary to back up configuration files that must be brought forward after this release is installed.
5.1.4. [_] If the Avaya PDS Database is installed on this machine, back up the database by executing the following steps.
5.1.4.1. [_] Insert a blank DDS tape into the tape drive.
5.1.4.2. [_] Execute the following commands from the UNIX command prompt.

5.1.4.3. [_] Remove the DDS tape from the tape drive, label it with the release version and current date and store it in a safe place.

SDN9_385 When agent app (or operator binary) dies right after its line & record release, an error message E28426 (Record number returned wrong #, job number #) is written to account file (/usr/vl/account/account.CCYYMMDD), and the record which the agent app had is appended to the calling list. When agent app releases line and record, and then dies abnormally within the time specified at the "delay" command in call_complete label in telephny.spt, this problem occurs.
SDN11_395 After SDN11_386 was installed, AOR calls would not be placed if the corresponding call selections only use selective time zones instead of *.
