Production of front cover

I chosen a background colour of pink due to it being an all girls school

I used to square tool and put it in the corner and changed the colour to the

corner part the grey.

I added the main image which I manipulated using Photoshop before I added it to the background.

I moved the main image over to the right side so it wasn’t covering the whole of the background and then I added text which is the name of the

magazine and I made the text size 90pt

In the corner I added text saying ‘free’ to show pupils they can just pick one up and take it without paying because some may

not buy it if they have to pay

Here I added the cover lines on the right hand side and made the colour grey. I added each

cover line one by one so I can move one without the other ones moving.

I found an image of a barcode on Google and I added it to my front cover because all magazines

have a barcode on them.

Just on top of the barcode I added a date and issue number in smaller writing but the same colour as the rest of the page.

I found an image of a star online and added it to my background, and I inserted text into it to

make it a puff.

Just under the masthead I added a line of text in black writing and a smaller font which is a snippy

line to grab attention.

I used bevel and emboss to make my title writing more unique as first it was just black

writing but by using this it created a grey colour on top of the text.
