Photovoltaic Backyard Wall, Avila (Spain)General Contractor: On yx Solar

OnyxSolarhasinstalled itsfirst photovoltaic backyard wall in a residential house in Avila, Spain.

The glassinstalled isvery innovative, since it iscomprised of frosted and anti-reflective glasswith photovoltaic properties. Due to these properties, it isable to generate clean and free energy form the sun, and at the same time, it diffuseslight transmission providing privacy and comfort to the users.

The retrofit of the Mediterranea Terina Foundation sbuildingsin Calabria isvery unique, and setsa milestone forOnyxSolar. Thisisdue to the fact thatthe complexhas 3,000 sqm of photovoltaic glassintegrated in different places: skylight, walkable floor, parking lot and an elevatorwith panoramicviews.

The Mediterranea Terina Foundation isa centerof excellence dedicated, among otheractivities, to the research and knowledge of the food industrythrough a network of Italian and foreign universities.
