In 2015, CSIRO partnered with SP Health in the development of the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet online. The program is a digital version of the popular 12-week eating plan that is nutritionally balanced and scientifically proven to help people feel less hungry and lose weight.

The online version of the diet has proven to be popular with the public, more than 18,000 people have signed up for the program since its launch.

CSIRO also co-developed the ImpromyTM health and weight management program with our partner, Probiotec.

ImpromyTM is delivered through 290 pharmacies Australia-wide, where trained consultants provide point of care testing to assess risk factors such as cholesterol, blood pressure and blood glucose levels.

The information is then used to determine an appropriate eating pattern that includes higher protein main meals with breakfast and lunch meal replacements.

More than 33,000 Australians have used ImpromyTM, with research showing that members lose an average of 7 kilograms over the 12 week program.
