As a creator of straight-line profiles, we use all our expertise in the design and realisation of our own tools to fulfil the very precise specifications from our clients as closely as possible in highly diverse industrial sectors.

This expertise is recognised around the world, in Europe, Asia and America, and allows us to satisfy all our clients’ requirements and to provide them with high-quality products, regardless of their final application.

Today TDV exports over 80% of its production.

TDV was originally created in 1958 under the name TREFILERIES DES VOSGES and is specialised in the precision cold rolling of stainless steel, carbon steel and non-ferrous metals.

FILTRATION

The main application of our profiles is in the filtration industry. Our clients have a global presence on these markets and use our products as their «raw material» to produce rigid filtering elements, known as «inlet filters» or «baskets».

These ones are manufactured from special profiles meeting extremely specific acceptance criteria (tolerance intervals, standard deviation, dispersion, geometry, surface, cleanliness etc), which our experience allows us to properly master.

FILTRATION

At this level we distinguish applications intended for:

> high-tech filtration: TDV is the world leader in the manufacture of very small triangular profiles with a minimum section up to 0.34 mm² and a minimum width up to 0.45 mm.

> fine filtration: water, food and agrifood, hydrocarbons, chemistry, pharmacy

> pulp and paper filtration

> boring: water, gas, petrol

> mineral extraction: screening, grading, sieving

The main materials used for this family of profiles are stainless steels, alloys, duplex and superduplex, monel.

ENERGY

These profiles are made of special amagnetic materials and are used in rotors and stators.

Through the use of these spacers, TDV strengthens its global positioning by participating in the development of wind turbines, steam turbines, hydropower dams and nuclear power plants.

Our extensive experience in the manufacture of these profiles has made TDV a leader on the spacer market and a benchmark for all manufac-turers.

Another key sector for the application of our profiles is the energy sector. Since its creation TDV has been working with the world’s leading manufacturers of generators, turbo alternators and motors, etc, to whom we supply « I » profiles, which are commonly known as «ventilation spacers».

LAMINATES

All profiles manufactured by TDV satisfy a very specific request from each client, in a section going up to 45 mm². A large number of them, due to their very specific shape, are the subject of development on a drawing, the others with a more common shape known as «laminates» are classified into families:

> natural rounded edges

> rectangular flats: either with round or square corners

> squares: either with round or square corners

> hexagons, half-rounds, part rounds

The most common applications of these products relate to automobile equipment, springs, cut and stamped parts, shaped parts and connectors etc.

Our profiles are used in a wide range of business sectors. The most notable are as follows:

> Architecture: in the form of duckboards, façades, sun visors, ventilation grills, wall coverings, urban furniture, decorative elements

> Modelling: miniature railways on HO or N scale

> Assembly: staples

> Household goods: rods, kebab skewers

> Guidance: runners for the aeronautical, railway and medical industries and for weaponry

We work with all ferritic and austentic stainless steels, carbon steels, coppers and copper alloys.

LOGISTICSPACKAGING

The profiles and laminates are packaged:

> in 20-1000 kg coils

> in 50-1000 kg wooden or metal spools

> in bars measuring up to 6,500 mm

Of course all other packaging requests may be subject to a feasibility study.

TDV is accustomed to working on the five continents and uses all types of transport: sea, road, rail, air and multimodal, according to Incoterms 2010.
