PROGRAM FOR OCTOBER
Back by popular request Competition and Dis-cussion program. The opportunity to discuss the images and see some actual changes to images as suggested by the Group has been deemed helpful by the members and so we will repeat our successful August format. Be sure to enter some your images in the com-petition this month so you will have a chance to benefit from the discussions. Remember, if you enter only one or two you need not enter an assigned category, so jump in. See you there at 7pm October 8 at the Tracy
Gee Community Center, 3599 Westcenter
Drive, which is one block inside Beltway 8 be-
tween Westpark and Richmond.

PROGRAM FOR NOVEMBER
Mark your calendar for the November meeting. You won’t want to miss hearing our guest speaker, Dr. Cathryn Hoyt . Dr. Hoyt is a naturalist, anthropologist,
geographer, writer and photographer.
She states the she just doesn't know
what she wants to be when she grows
up, but finds the world too interesting to
narrow her focus.
She wants to share the beauty that she
finds in vast landscapes, small details
and interesting stories through her writ-
ing and photography.
Dr. Hoyt is the former Executive and Re-search Director of the Chihuahuan De-sert Research Institute near Fort Davis in West Texas. A Graduate of the Univer-sity of Arizona with a BA in Anthropol-ogy, she also has an MA in Nautical Ar-cheology From Texas A&M and a PhD in Paleoecology from The University of Texas. September Workshop
Joe Smith conducted the workshop on Macro photography After a brief explanation of whatit is and how to do it , the participant were able to try out their new information with a number of subjects provided.
The workshop was well timed as it coincided
with the Nature assignment for September
.
Workshop for October
As a result of the interest from the mem-bers at the August the meeting, this month will be about the use of the tools in Photo-shop and Light room for post processing of images. James Gamble will present the Lightroom portion and Carmen Sewell will talk about Photoshop “magic” .
So many of the tools in PS are under utilized
because their use is not known or under-
stood and we will seek to correct that. It
should be a fun and informative evening.
If you wish, and have either Photoshop or
Lightroom (or both) on your laptops feel free
to bring them along and work along with us
as we demonstrate. If you chose to bring
your lap top be sure you have a full charge
on your battery as their may not be enough
power sources for everyone to plug in.
Last one for 2015...the Tracy Gee will be
closed on our normal November and De-
cember workshop days.
Inter Club
Results for the September Inter Club com-petitions have not be returned at Publica-tion Date. Look for them in November.
