Transferring a student into your schoolIn this session, you will learn how to:

• transfer a student’s PSDMS details to your school, and

The student’s Disability Id will be transferred to your CASES21 database.

Approximate time to complete this session – 10 minutes.

Use the buttons in the bottom left corner to move forwards and backwards through the lesson.

Actions you need to undertake will be in red, followed by a mouse graphic.

Additional information that may help you.

Before you start

• Students must previously had a PSD application entered by another school.

• Students must be exited or had their time-fraction reduced by their previous school.

• Enrolment details must be accurate and complete on CASES21.

• Students must be in a home group in CASES21 to allow upload into PSDMS. Create a future home group for all future students. For example, FUT.

• This procedure must be completed before 3:30 pm to trigger overnight messaging and correct uploading of student records into PSDMS the next business day.

Uploading student records to PSDMS Logon to CASES21

Open the Students menu and choose Export/Import Data.

Please do this now

Click on PSDMS.

To select students for upload to PSDMS, double click on Student Selection for Upload to PSDMS [ST11060].

Enter the appropriate selection criteria for the students you need to upload.

Click on the OK button.

Select the Year Level of the students you need to upload.

You can use the Dropdown button or the Previous/Next buttons .

Logging on to PSDMSOn the next business day, you are ready to logon to PSDMS to select the student from CASES21.

Select the Internet Explorer icon.

Delete:

If the student does not need to be uploaded to PSDMS, click on Delete next to the student details.

This will not delete the student from CASES21, just stop the student’s details from being uploaded into PSDMS.

If the student has not been exited or their time-fraction has not been reduced by their previous school, you will get the following error when you click the Transfer the Student button:

Contact the other school to exit the student or reduce their time-fraction in CASES21.

Only use the New Application button if the student has never had a PSD Application and a new application is required.

Confirming student detailsPSDMS displays the student details as retrieved from CASES21 and matched to the student details found in PSDMS.

If the student details are correct, click on the Confirm Enrolment button.

Use this button if the student details are not correct and you want to cancel the Transferring a student into your school process.

That’s all you need to do

• Your school’s enrolment details are now in PSDMS.

• The student must be ‘Active’ in CASES21 and have an entry date that is on or before the first day of term for funding to begin.

• The student’s PSDMS records are now transferred to your school.

• The student’s Disability Id will be in CASES21 one business day after successfully transferring the student to your school.
