The Program Kick Off is likely the most important meeting you will attend this year and is your chance to get everything you need to plan an exciting 2019 – 2020 program. At this unit focused, volunteer driven event, we will distribute the new 2019 – 2020 Council Program Calendar, deliver sessions on key elements to a strong and safe unit program from experienced volunteer leaders. The Program Kick Off also features a midway with over 40 Scouting programs and community organizations sharing exciting opportunities your Scouts can enjoy this coming year. In addition, Youth Protection, Safe Scouting, and training materials will be available free of charge to all attendees.
A strong and safe Scouting program starts with planning. This conference will give you the tools you need to plan and deliver a safe, top-notch program in 2019 – 2020 as well as give you access to resources and programs that can save you and your leadership team a lot of time. If that’s not enough for you, then at least come out for your free leader gift. Whether you come for the resources and the knowledge or just for the gift, we hope you will come out and learn how to build and execute a strong and safe year of Scouting for your youth.
A highlight of the Annual Program Kick Off is the Midway, where you can visit with exhibitors for answers to your burning questions and with vendors representing exciting opportunities for your unit both in and out of the Boy Scouts of America. How do I grow my unit? What’s the latest and greatest on training? Which camping experience is right for my youth? All questions can be answered at our various program booths manned by seasoned Scouters ready to tackle your questions and concerns. How about the best Scouting outings around the city? Visit with multiple Scout-friendly organizations with programs pre-made just for your youth. Whatever your need, the Midway has the answer! The Midway will open at 8am and will stay open until 1pm, an hour after the program finishes. Make sure to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with all of these fine groups in the same day under one roof!
The Program Kick Off is a FREE event, but you must register to receive your leader gift. Only the first 400 participants will receive this year’s leader gift so register today! Registration and information is available at www.AtlantaBSA.org/ProgramKickOff.
