Reduce vehicle theft in the multijurisdictional area using criminal law enforcement/investigative techniques. 2. Reduce vehicle theft in the multijurisdictional area using proactive/innovative enforcement/investigative techniques. 3. Increase apprehension of auto theft offenders who to defraud insurance companies in the multijurisdictional area. Prevention Education 1. Create an education campaign to reduce observable risk behaviors enabling the auto thief. 2. Create an education campaign on the leading at-risk stolen vehicles to utilize theft prevention/recovery devices. Prevention Information 1. Engage crime prevention efforts with public partners to increase awareness of auto theft victimization. 2. Increase public perception that auto theft victimization is a public endangerment crime, not restricted to the loss of property. 3. Provide a multi-media approach for public information on the risks, dangers, antidotes and prevention techniques of auto theft. Intelligence 1. Use criminal analytics for the development and use of intelligence-led policing products in the multijurisdictional area. 2. Provide auto theft case deconfliction with all CATPA task forces on case investigations originating in the multijurisdictional area. 3. Provide efficient methodologies of information sharing for CATPA task forces and programs to strengthen case investigations. Prosecution 1. Provide quality case management support of major case investigations involving auto theft crimes, from CATPA task forces. 2. Provide effective major case investigation prosecutions involving auto theft crimes from CATPA task force investigations. 3. Provide quality case management support/prosecution for major case investigations involving auto theft crimes. Training 1. Provide quality statewide auto theft training to enhance knowledge skills and abilities. 2. Enable specialized training pertaining to auto theft crime.
