The hands-on Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis was a great experience to me which will be

very useful in my day to day work in public investment management in the newly established PIM Unit at the

National Treasury in Kenya. Ms. Mary Wangari Munyingi

Economic Policy AnalystThe National Treasury and Planning, Kenya

What a wonderful program. PIAR gave me insights that make me to focus more on how a project brings

values to all stakeholders. My approach in project appraisal will be more systematic. The lecturers were

passionate. They loved being with participants. Mr. Wargo Boubacar Zakari

Head of Niger InvestmentNiger Investissement Board, Niger

The level of rigor and participation was exceptional, a combination of theoretical teachings and practical application. I would recommend this course to anyone working in this field.

Ms. Ornissa Velayadum Policy Analyst: Infrastructure FinanceNational Treasury, South Africa

As a senior public servant and academician, I have been associated with Project Appraisal for most of my

professional life, but the four weeks I spent in the Investment Appraisal program at Queen’s University

raised my professional understanding to a whole new level. It maintains the right balance between state of the

art analytics and a practical hands-on approach. . Edgardo S. Mimica

University Professor and International Consultant in Public Investment Management (PIM)

Adolfo Ibáñez University, Santiago, Chile

Note:

With the recent surge of infections worldwide associated with the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus, and the frequent changes in the restrictions imposed by the governments on travel, it has become a challenge for many people to travel to North Cyprus in August 2021 to attend PIAR. As a result, we have decided to postpone the program from November 8th to December 3rd, 2021 and relocate it to Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Accra, Ghana.

Queen’s PIAR faculty team will be conducting the course. The curriculum and the method of training will be identical to that of the Regular and Training of Trainers Programs normally held at the campus of Queen's University.

The Certificate on Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis will be issued upon successful completion of the program.
