What is a typical day like?

Major Assignment #1

Student-led Seminars • Lead a 45-60 min discussion • Choose an article related to

HRM• Summarize the article• Provide a critical analysis• Formulate two or three

discussion questions• Lead the discussion in class

Major Assignment #2

• Research Paper• Write an argumentative

paper on an assigned topic• About 1200-1500 words• Have a clear thesis and valid

support• Have proper references

Major Assignment #3

• Group Research Presentations• Research and present on one

of Canada’s Top 50 Employers• 20-30 minutes including a 10-

minute discussion

Attendance RequirementsNo more than 10 hours of absence• If absent for more than 10 hours of class, the student

will not receive a final evaluation. Late Policy• If late for a class for less than 15 mins, s/he will be

marked late. Three “lates” are equal to one 2-hour absence.• If more than 15 minutes late for any class, s/he will be

marked absent, for a period of 2 hours.
