Program TypesSupport GroupsSupport groups allow children, teens and adults affected by cancer to come together and explore the social and emotional issues incurred by the cancer experience. Our peer support groups are facilitated by mental health professionals, for those living with cancer, family or friends supporting some-one living with cancer, those bereaved. We have support groups for all stages and ages of the cancer journey.
Digital StorytellingThis innovative arts-based program provides children, teens and adults with an opportunity to utilize technol-ogy to tell their personal stories. Digital storytelling combines the art of storytelling with multimedia features such as expressive arts, photography, anima-tion, text, audio and video.
Education/NetworkingEducation and networking groups are an opportunityto share information and experiences, while learningfrom other members. Professionally led discussionseries lectures and workshops provide information and answers to questions on cancer related topics.
Healthy LifestylesWe offer a wide variety of healthy lifestyles activities including mind-body stress-reduction programs, gentle exercise, art-related workshops, and nutritional aware-ness and education series.
Social ConnectionsSocial and family events promote interaction, play and humour. Through a renowned sense of commu-nity, members come together to share in community suppers, family fun Super Sunday events, seasonal camps, social programs, laughter and fun!
Resources & ReferralsResource materials and information sessions are professional led, as well we offer assistance in identify-ing other resources in the community.

Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto has a diverse calendar of programming for anyone living with cancer along with their support network. The Gilda’s Club GreaterToronto philosophy is to provide free social and emotional support to adults, children, teens and their families and friends as an essential complement to medical care. Support groups must have a minimum of 4 members for the group to run.
