"Being close to business enables us to timely and exactly know the requirements that companies

have for their business leaders. Meeting these needs by consequentially aligning with them, gives the students of

Munich Business School excellent job perspectives."

Executives have to face more challenges and faster changes than ever before. In a dynamic and increasingly complex world, business leaders must make respon-sible decisions based on facts, develop future-oriented concepts, and keep up with the steady advance of expert knowledge. The modern leadership role, however, also requires a broad foundation of general knowledge, a wide range of management skills, and a good eye for people and their working environment.

Besides studies of modern management, entrepreneurial thinking and international competence, our Executive MBA program in General Management at Munich Business School (MBS) also conveys both self and social skills. The courses at MBS are focused on people. We want to encourage you not only to learn facts, methods and tools, but also to reflect on problems and discuss appropriate measures and solutions with your fellow students. An MBA is a challenge and an experience that widens your personal horizon and opens up perspectives for your future.

Our long history of collaboration with many companies has had a significant influence on the development of our MBA program. Through this constant contact and exchange with businesses from different sectors, we have found that it is not always possible for professionals with a heavy workload and many responsibilities to leave their

job for a significant amount of time to further their edu-cation. With our MBA in General Management we have developed an offer tailor-made for executives who want to keep working on their corporate career while at the same time enhancing their management know-how with lasting effect. This program is very compatible with your professional schedule and simultaneously provides you with an intensive study experience on a regular basis.

The exchange and interaction with the other participants of the MBA program at MBS enables you to gain new perspectives and insights on topics and cases. The great diversity of your fellow students includes their demogra-phic profiles, their cultural backgrounds, and their profes-sional experiences. By the end of your studies you will be part of this network of highly competent and interesting management personalities from a variety of industries and countries.

We know that choosing the right institution for your MBA is of essential importance. We are committed to helping you find out whether MBS is the right choice for you and your career. Meet us at one of the MBA fairs or visit us in Munich for one of our MBA Warm-Up sessions or a personal consultation. We look forward to getting to know you!

LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIESThe MBA at Munich Business School is focused on management and leadership competencies and covers three main areas:

l Business know-how We provide you with practical knowledge in core economic and business areas such as Finance and Marketing with an emphasis on International Management.l Social Competence We train you in communicating and dealing with others, getting ideas across, negotiating, and recognizing and handling conflicts.l Self Competence We help you recognize your own strengths and weaknesses to make you grow in the areas that you have talent for whilst limiting the aspects that you might not be particularly good at. Daniel gillian (MBA GM 2011-2013)Nokia GmbH"As I searched for a suitable MBA program, Munich Business School appealed to me for several reasons. First, a mandatory requirement for me was that the program should be conducted in English. I also liked the promise of internationally diverse classmates while still maintaining a certain number of German students. Additionally, the chance to build a local network of like-minded and interesting individuals is a fabulous opportunity. Finally, and probably most important to me, was the brand name that MBS carries. I feel no matter what I do or where I live in the future, the name of the school will be internationally recognized when I list it among my qualifi-cations."

Clare Yang (MBA GM 2011-2013)tyntec GmbH "I chose Munich Business School because of its strong network within the business community. The Executive MBA GM program is well-structured and informative. I have learned from and met many interesting and successful people through the school."

Dr. Mohammed Al Shamsi (MBA GM 2011-2013)Universitätsklinikum Ulm"I chose the MBA General Management at Munich Business School because I perceive Munich Business School to be one of the top schools in Germany. I trust the professional staff, e.g. Prof. Dr. Bergfeld. The international week in Italy has been a great experience, too. With good organization and good personal management, the course can be combined with a hard, daily job."

Nonthando Chasakara (MBA GM 2011-2013) ABSA Bank - Member of the BARCLAYS Group"The MBA General Management at Munich Business School is a program that mimics the intricacies of working in a real business environment in that it brings together people from different walks of life, with different backgrounds and with different levels of experience. This integration encourages multilateral thinking which is crucial in any managerial position. The lecturers are well-versed in their areas of expertise and the learning environment is both professional and fun. I am very happy to be doing my MBA at Munich Business School."

Carsten Stark, MBADirector Global Sales Operations, SAP AG (MBA GM 2005-2007)"The fast changing global environment and increased complexity today requires constantly chan-ging answers. To that end the MBA provides you with a framework to validate your business expe-riences vs. the ones made by your MBA colleagues during the studies. Also, the job market is be-coming more and more competitive. If you are thinking about working in a Fortune 1000 company or are generally working within a company that values the MBA, you should definitely consider this route."

Clarisse Bellod, MBAStrategic Planning for International Production, BMW AG (MBA GM 2005-2007)"Besides the enhancement of personal and intercultural skills, the executive MBA at Munich Busi-ness School has definitely broadened my horizon of general knowledge and economic understan-ding. Another trump: the ability to work under pressure by coping with both professional life and part-time studies!"

Alexander Hopf, MBAMarketing & Sales Director, A. Hopf GmbH Kunststoffverarbeitung (MBA GM 2005-2007)"The MBA at Munich Business School successfully supported my career. Various approaches were developed and discussed during practical case studies with fellow students from different indust-ries. In particular the participants’ intercultural differences, varying job experience and experience with problem-solving strategies among engineers and economists served as an enhancement to the program. In summary, I can say that the MBA at MBS following my internationality-focused studies was the perfect preparation for my current position as Director of Marketing & Sales in the production of medical products."

Hans-Joachim Hermann, MBACEO, SolConTec International AG (MBA GM 2009-2011)"There are so many ways to describe diversity in our classes, so many countries, so many nationa-lities, languages, such diverse business backgrounds and careers ...I could spend the next ten years of my life reading management books and working, and I would not achieve anything nearly as valuable as what we have achieved here. Although my degree is an MBA, the knowledge that we have gained here spans all disciplines."

Dragoslav ružić, mBaProduct Manager, Bauknecht Hausgeräte GmbH / Whirlpool Corporation (MBA GM 2005-2007)"The MBA GM at Munich Business School was a door opener that helped me move from research and development to product management. The transition was smooth since soft skills and self manage-ment were an important part of the curriculum at MBS."
