These are the subjects which open more doors to more degrees, according to the
Russell Group
A recent Sutton Trust study found that students were more likely to achieve good
English and maths GCSEs, more likely to take an A level, or an equivalent level 3
qualification, and more likely to stay in post-16 education, in schools where the
ebacc was followed
One of the few schools in Staffordshire to offer students the opportunity
to offer such a broad choice

choosing a set of subjects which will offer a broad and balanced range
We strongly recommend that a modern foreign language is chosen
Students must choose 8 subjects in order of preference and they will
be allocated of 4 these choices
Triple science students will need to list triple science as their second
preference
Students will only be allowed to chose DT Graphics or DT Resistant
Materials
Things to consider…
Which subjects am I good at?
Which subjects do I enjoy?
Which subjects do I need for my career?
