HRM hosted a well advertised public meeting May 31, 2012 at St. Peter's Church Hall, on Dakin Drive. The refined park maps showing front-country/back country concept developed by HRM parks staff in partnership with provincial Protected Areas staff from Environment Dept. were presented to the public & was very well received. 250+ people attend. Standing room only. Widely reported in local and provincial media. New concept maps were enthusiastically endorsed by the crowd. This is the last map concept presented to the public.
