PROGRESSIVE (MULTIFOCAL) SPECTACLE LENSES If you only need spectacles for reading, or if you have different prescriptions for distance, mid range (e.g. computer work) and reading, then Progressive Addition Lenses (sometimes known as Multifocals), may provide you with an ideal visual solution. Within a Progressive lens the power gradually changes across its surface, giving you distance correction in the upper zones of the lenses (say for driving or watching TV), mid range vision in the central part (such as for when you want to view a computer screen on a desk) and reading correction in the lower zone. The lenses look great with no discernable lines where the lens changes power as would be noticeable on a traditional bifocal design. There is a wide range of lenses available, from budget designs to custom made lenses which take into account whether you tend to move your eyes or your head when you do different visual tasks. Our professional team is here to give you all the help and advice you need to choose the right lens for your individual needs and life style. Because we take a great deal of time and trouble to select lenses incorporating the best and most up to date technology, our patients rarely have problems adapting to Progressive lenses, despite their complex nature. PEACE OF MIND All our Progressive lenses come with a NO CHARGE EXCHANGE WARRANTY The majority of first time Progressive Lens wearers find they adapt very quickly to wearing them. A few people find it can take a few weeks to get used to their new lenses. A very small percentage of people find that progressive lenses do not work for them. We therefore, offer a free of charge warranty exchange facility. If within 1 month from the date of collection of your Progressive lenses you find that you are unable to adapt to them, you can return the lenses to us. We will replace them with new lenses to a design of your choice – such as single vision reading lenses or bifocals, at no charge. Should you choose a lens type, which would originally have cost less than your Progressives, (e.g. single vision reading lenses), the difference in cost is non-refundable. This is because the Progressive lenses are a bespoke product, which has been specifically made for you. Should you choose a lens type that costs more than the amount originally paid, you will simply pay the difference between the two lens types. Of course this warranty service in no way affects your statutory rights.
