"Obesity puts people, even children, at greater risk for a number of

chronic health conditions, including diabetes. Of particular concern is that 31% of Hispanic children and 23% of African-American children were found to be obese, compared

to 14% of Asian children and 16% of White children. In addition, obesity

is already a problem as early as kindergarten.“
