01.THE PROJECT
Over 36.000 m² of conference space, an Auditorium Hall ready to host nearly 1900 people, a spacious and multifunctional foyer adapted for activities such as hosting of exhibitions and an excellent location in the centre of Krakow – these are only some of the assets of the multifunctional ICE Kraków Congress Centre. Poltrona Frau Contract is the supplier for all the seatings for the auditoria. 02.THE FAÇADE The entire building is an organically formed structure with a large, glazed foyer suited for the organization of exhibitions and displays. The ICE Kraków Congress Centre facade will be constructed with the use of glass, aluminum and ceramic tiles.
The centre is a modern world-class building, meeting the requirements of international congress organizations, as well as the highest acoustic and stage mechanics standards. The building has been designed in such a way as to host various types of congresses, conferences, concerts, theatrical shows, exhibitions and other prestigious cultural and social events. The high standard of the building will place it among the most desired and exclusive congress centres in Europe.
03. MAIN AUDITORIUM
The main Auditorium Hall, adapted for the purposes of classical music, electronically amplified music, ballet or film screenings, will be capable of hosting conferences for between 1,700 and 1,900 people. Additionally, plans include an Theatre hall for 600 people, a 1,000 m2 multifunctional space, and 32 meeting rooms.

“The process of designing the seats for the auditorium hall was an interesting experience.” – says Krzysztof Ingarden – “We studied the anthropometric data, ergonomics and then moved on to the first stage of testing the solutions on prototypes. Then we spent time on final amendments and changes. All together, a number of years were spent to make the Kraków hall have its own, individually designed seats that fit it perfectly”.
