NEFCO can provide loan or equity-type f inancing on commercial terms of up to EUR 2,5m for environmental projects and internationalisation globally.

EEP Africa CASE
The Waste Transformers Waste-to-energy demonstration project in South Africa
The Waste Transformers, a Dutch com- pany, create on-site decentralized energy hubs by converting low -value organic w aste into high-value energy, w ater and fertilizer. Together w ith Grow thpoint, a South African property company, they have installed an anaerobic digester at N1 City Mall to demonstrate how companies can cooperate in a mutually inclusive w ay to generate energy for positive economic and social change.

NCF CASE
Absolicon Solar thermal pilot project in Kenya
Sw edish Absolicon has received f inancing together w ith its tw o partners WWF Kenya and Tealand Engineering and Construction Limited to pilot the use of solar Parabolic Trough Collectors or ”solar concentrators” in tea factories in Kenya. The use of solar concentrators together w ith energy eff i- ciency measures are expected to lead to reductions of 50–75% in the tea factories’ w ood fuel use. The long term goal is to produce the solar collectors regionally in Africa.

Nopef CASE
Resolux Business establishment in India
Danish Resolux is a supplier to the w ind sector industry and specialised in electrical kits for w ind tow ers and w ind turbine nacelles as w ell as lighting systems. As a result of the Nopef funded feasibility study the company decided to establish a subsi- diary Resolux India Ltd. in Chennai in Eas- tern India. Resolux w ill focus on delivering tow er internals to the Indian market and aim to establish local assembly production and storage facilities in Chennai.

NEFCO Global CASE
Baseload Capital /Climeon Business expansion to Eastern Europe, Asia and North America
Baseload Capital has received loan f inan- cing to its programme to expand Sw edish Climeon Heat Pow er on global markets. Climeon’s technology generates electricity from w aste heat and geothermal heat at low temperatures. This is a cost-eff icient form of renew able energy w ith substantial potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from electricity generation w hilst ensuring a 24/7 supply of clean energy. Climeon is also a past recipient of Nopef funding.
