• Module 0. Project Management Standards and overview (1 hour): Definition of Project Management. Project Management Standards, Knowledge Areas and Process groups. Project Management in Shipyard industry overview.
• Module 1. WBS for Ship Repair Projects – (4 hours): What is a WBS?. Components of a WBS. Steps to create a WBS for a ship repair project. WBS top 4 Benefits in Ship Repair industry. WBS Manual exercise. Create the WBS for project QUEEN ANDREA using a WBS software.
• Module 2. Critical Path / Ms Project for Ship Repair Projects – (4 to 5 hours): Basic concepts for project scheduling. What is critical path? How to use it in Ship Repair Projects. Critical path Top 5 benefits. Aspects on which the Ship Repair Project Manager should focus in project scheduling. Critical Path Exercise. Steps to Create a project schedule in Ms Project. How to monitor the schedule in Ms Project. Schedule Accuracy level in ship repair projects based on uncertainty. Create the project schedule for project QUEEN ANDREA using Ms Project.

STEPS FOR PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT IN SHIP REPAIR PROJECTS 1. Identify Risks: Once the scope is known a risk identification can be performed. Risk can be identified during project
initiation till the end.
This are the most important aspects to consider when you are identifying Risk and Causes:
• The Risks must be identified based on the Project Objectives• The Risks cannot be a constraint (a constraint is something that already exists and should be responded with
a contingency plan)• When the risk is going to be identified you should ask yourself: What can go wrong that can impact the
project objectives?• The cause of the risk could be a constraint, an assumption, requirement or condition that originates the
unwanted or wished event.
Example 1: Lack of man power, due to interference with other projects, impacting undocking date and departure date.Example 2: To not finish Hull blasting on planned date, due to extreme weather conditions on April, impacting dry-docking time of the vessel
