This month in our ‘project of the month’: Container stairs for tank container trucks Taking samples from tank container trucks at height involvesa risk of falling for your employee. Certainly when they climb onto the vehicle without any fall protection or place a ladder against the truck. No wonder one of the largest oil companies in the world approached Altrex for the development of custom-produced container stairs. The container stairs make filling, sampling, inspection, etc., simpler, faster and safer. The top of the container stairs is fitted with a safety cage in order to secure the user. The container stairs have the following specifications: • a safety cage to prevent the user from falling • the stair and cage are height-adjustable by means of a manual winch and a self-locking mechanism • a fold-out platform (top) in order to close the gap between the platform and the truck • fold-up bottom step in order to reduce the height of the first step • counter weights in a lockable counterweight box prevent the stairs from tipping over • extra large wheels reduce the resistance whenthe container stairs is moved • extra mirror at the top for the correct positioning of the stairs from below Would you like to see more examples of our container stairs?
