ANNUAL REPORT 2011 PROJECT PATHFINDER CLUB - CLUBE DE DESBRAVADORES The Pathfinder Club is a recreational social and spiritual program, centered on the Church Seventh-day Adventist, for the adolescents to age 10 to 15 years aiming at the stimulation of the physical, mental and spiritual. Once a year the club entered the Pathfinder Association Paulistana gather to camping together The camporee, which are carried various tasks competitions and exams. The Camporee is distinguished by the importance, complexity and organization which has as evaluate the Pathfinder in theory and practice throughout the curriculum, which teaches the club through the instructions given at meetings. This evaluation is done through camps, crafts, social and community projects, citizenship awareness, hiking in nature, exercise and many other activities grounded for this purpose. The club's main objective is to train these pioneers a solid and strong character, and develop the social side as making friends, sharing experiences, expanding the knowledge among others.

FOOD SAFETY - SEGURANÇA ALIMENTAR Millions of people do not know what they will eat the next meal, due to food shortages. ADRA provides assistance through food parcels, food parcels and meals served daily. The Food Security Programs ADRA focus on long-term solutions to end hunger permanently. This includes courses and lectures on income generation and food utilization.

This belief is reflected in the Mission Statement ADRA - Provide assistance in a crisis or emergency and work with those affected to develop long term solutions.

The basic operating principles of the Agency stated that ADRA responds quickly, effectively and appropriately, compared to natural disasters or caused by man and that ADRA provides humanitarian assistance and development, without discrimination of race, ethnic origin, gender, political affiliation or religious . BASIC EDUCATION - EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA This is a fact. For an emerging nation to the status of "developing country" should educate its citizens. But education is still merely a dream for millions of children. And even when education is available, there is often a gender imbalance on who receives or has access to it, and examine how many years. Girls often do not receive an education, grow up and become mothers receive no formal education, and the generations that follow, often remain trapped in this cycle of impoverishment. Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. The Basic Education Project ADRA create promising futures, unlocking these opportunities for children, adolescents and adults.

BASIC HEALTH - SAÚDE BÁSICA ADRA, through courses of healthy habits, health and how to stop smoking, guidance and knowledge has led to communities, reducing and avoiding the risks of health problems in thousands of people each year.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - DESENVOLVIMENTO ECONÔMICO Help a family achieve financial independence through income-generating courses, and computer literacy are some of the economic development tools that ADRA has used the Centers Adventist Community Development - CADEC. Three units of service in the cities of Cubatao and Mairinque. Many courses are also offered in partnership with the Adventist Solidarity Action in more than 220 service centers dispensary.

NUCLEO CARE FOR CHILDREN - NUCLEO DE ATENÇÃO A CRIANÇAS ADRA has six core program for children in the following cities of São Paulo, Osasco, Itanagar, Ibiúna Cotia, Cubatao and Araçariguama. 440 needy children are met in the areas of food security and basic education.

AMA Project - Support for Adolescent Mothers

One of the major social problems in the north is teenage pregnancy in public schools. This is basically the lack of a good family background. As a result, hundreds of teens get pregnant without even knowing how to care for themselves and baby. It is to deal with this problem, the AMA developed the project ADRA - Support for Adolescent Mothers in the city of Paragominas, state of Pará The project currently serves 50 adolescents aged 13 to 19 years. From November 2011, another 50 will be included adolescents, thereby doubling the number of direct beneficiaries. Due to high demand, the project's goal is to reach up to 250 teenagers attended.

The objective of the project AMA is to guide and support pregnant teenagers 13-19 years, as well as mothers and partners, so they can have healthy babies and raise them to be good citizens. The project intends to achieve this goal through the guidance of pre-natal care of women during pregnancy and advice on baby care. The main activities will focus on group dynamics with teenagers, dynamic groups for parents with pregnant teens, lectures, home visits and referrals to clinics. The project also seeks to educate parents on how to address the issue of sexuality with their children.

Needs of the project: The project currently receives a sponsorship of $ 2,000.00 / month from the City of Paragominas, which is just enough to pay the ADRA team. However, the needs of adolescents are often assisted. They can not even buy the basic layette for their babies. The project is in urgent need of basic materials for the trousseau of the babies, diapers, hygiene materials, clothes for pregnant women, and 90% of cases, food for babies.

Care Center for Children - Come to Me The core Come to Me was founded in August 1999 in Horton, São Paulo. During these 12 years of existence, about two thousand children have been assisted by the nucleus.

Currently, 240 children 6-14 years and adolescents 15 to 17 receive care as nutritional enhancement, tutoring, choir, teaching music, art education, teaching garden, teaching kitchen, body language, basic and advanced computer, hours of conversation, team sports, gymnastics, children's play, educational games and explorers club on weekends. Parents of children and adolescents who attend the center also has access to professional craft classes and adult literacy. The Center has the support of companies such as Petrobras, Telefonica Foundation, DELL Computers, City

of Horton. Many children receive national and international sponsorship. In 2010, the center was visited by the general manager of Dell, Michael Dell, who donated 10 new computers composing a modern computer room equipped with printer and internet and air conditioning. Among the many success stories provided by the core, highlight the Rafael Vicente de Souza and Cristina Jessica Bernard, who attended the nucleus Come to me and are now official and trainee of Dell Computers in Horton. Besides the core Come to me, ADRA has dozens of other nuclei throughout Brazil, serving thousands of needy children every day.

Project Launch Luzeiro XVI - Projeto Lancha Luzeiro XVI Luzeiro The first boat was launched in July 1931 by the husband Leo and Jessie Halliwell, aiming to

bring health education and free medical and dental care to underserved populations of the Amazon river. Luzeiro Several other boats were built over the past 80 years attending to these underserved populations throughout the Amazon, Negro, Solimões and thousands of its tributaries. During these 80 years, thousands of people were directly benefited by the support provided by speedboats. In many cases, this was the only way these people receive any medical care and dental care. Today, the project Luzeiro XXVI has a boat equipped with modern medical and dental office with capacity for 20-30

people per day in each office. It also has the support of the launch motorboat Jessie Halliwell has capacity for 12 people. It will soon be added a second motorboat named Expresso Luzeiro, with capacity for 16 people. Luzeiro The project has the support of two nurses, a dentist and a commander, all full-time work beyond the occasional volunteers who give of their time to support the project. Once or twice a month the project organizes Effort Health "with the participation of volunteer doctors. Between 150-200 people are served on these task forces. The drugs are donated by laboratories and often by doctors themselves. Pro Life Project - Projeto Pró Vida

The Pro Life project serves between 30 to 60 recipients each year through the therapeutic community. Pro Life The therapeutic community is a participatory approach that aims to treat addiction through a change in lifestyle, understanding abuse as a symptom of psychological maladjustment and social person. The method used for the treatment stems from a multidisciplinary work under the hospitalization of at least nine months and a maximum of 18 months depending on the needs of each individual. The resident undergoes phases during the treatment process. At each step, through therapeutic activities that motivate behavior change, it works your individual questions and learn new ways to

express themselves. In the last stage, the probation officer, the resident begins to take shape out of the center. Through professional activities, are encouraged to develop their life projects outside the center. The project develops therapeutic activities, educational and vocational. The therapeutic activities can be

conducted in groups or individually by psychologists, or through self-help meetings. These include meetings and relapse prevention, morning meetings, art therapy, family therapy and psychiatric care in specific cases. Educational activities include tutoring, thematic groups and laborterapia. The vocational courses are offered according to the desire of each individual and their availability in the local community. As part of the project, plans are made to develop a program to prevent drug abuse through educational talks in schools located in disadvantaged communities. Hostel Night, Shelter House and Home - Albergue Noturno, Abrigo e Casa Lar ADRA maintains numerous partnerships with the Municipal Social Welfare Victoria. These include projects Hostel Night, Shelter House and Home. The Night Hostel welcomes the adult population over 18 years on the streets. The project offers a decent space for overnight, personal hygiene and an evening meal. Currently the project serves 30 people and is located in the neighborhood of Jucutuquara. The Shelter Project, welcomes the adult population over 18 years, the homeless, in steady state. The project's main goal is to create conditions for the recovery of citizenship. To achieve this goal, the shelter provides a space for interaction and organization, and the search for solutions to their problems emergency. Currently the project serves 40 people and is located in the neighborhood Jabur. Finally, House Home, also caters to adults age 18 and is in the streets. The difference is that in this case, these people have some type of mental disorder. The scheme is also ongoing and the goal is to create conditions for the recovery of citizenship. The project is located in the neighborhood of Cambridge Jucutuquara and Garden and serves 30 people.
