Olympias industry is an old-age existing mining factory . ELDORADO ‘s enormous investments in Greece mining industry introduce a very complex project for every aspect of civil and mechanical engineering field in Greece.
The project is divided into two specific phases of design and construction.
The first phase includes all the procedure of renovating existing buildings and updating mechanical equipment installation.
The second phase deals with the totally new part of the industry that will support the existing one . This phase includes brand new platforms, conveyors and steel buildings.
Position:
Senior structural Engineer. Global participation in the modelling of the quarry's individual structures (building facilities, equipment supporting platforms, pipe-racks, conveyor belts) with the TEKLA STRUCTURES software.
Support of steel structure factories at the pre-construction phase and of the construction site at the construction phase. Analytical tables of material reports and production of general shop drawings as appropriate. Global participation in the calculation of the connections of the steel members with the EC.3 PRAXIS and the STEEL CONNECT SOFISTIK softwares.
Collaboration with the MEP engineer of the project (GR ENGINEERING SERVICES). Carry out reviews in the MEP crossings (All in one Modeling Procedure) as a Structural B.I.M. Project Manager

Skouries new mining industry is the biggest and
most environmental friendly factory in Greece. It is a 4.000.000m2 installation of new buildings, platforms, conveyors and geotechnical structures.
The ELDORADO ‘s investment is based on the important factor of recycling all mining products in order to maintain profits from mining process and retain safety rules for the factory ‘s employment and environment itself.
The project is an extremely complexed one not only because of the large scale combination of geotechnical, mechanical and civil structures but also for the factor that the projects has stopped and restart many times because of the ecological sensitivity of the area.

CYCLE ELECTRICITY
PRODUCTION STATION AT THE
‘’THISVI’’ INDUSTRIAL AREA
(PROJECT BUDGET: €120.000.000)
Combined Cycle Power Plant at Thisvi, Viotia with
maximum capacity 421.6MW running on natural gas,
which also includes a 400KV substation and high
voltage transmission power – line. The plot area is
101.120m2, while the superstructures and
substructures cover approximately 24.000m2.
The detailed construction design was carried out on
behalf of the construction joint venture (EDISON,
AKTOR) and refers to all civil engineering works of
the plant (buildings, foundations, equipment bases
and supports, pipe racks, underground installations
and networks, roads and paving and landscaping.
850 drawings and calculations reports were issued,
while all TEKLA models were prepared in order to
help the fabricator to maintain the best result for its
construction ability.

engagement with cad management in the
AutoCAD software.

PANATHINAIKOS F.C.
NEW STADIUM
(PROJECT BUDGET: €82.000.000)
Panathinaikos F.C. new stadium has a
capacity of 40.000 spectators, and the total of the grandstands is covered by
the roof. The buildings housing and the
auxiliary installations are made of
concrete and bear the stands’ system,
comprising of cast–in-situ beams and
precast reinforced concrete stands. At
each of the 4 corners, concrete pylons
bear the roof which is also supported on
the perimeter columns of the
grandstands’ buildings.
The stadium has a circular shape with
externak diameter 211m. The steel roof
consists of 4 statically independent parts,
each one resting on a simply supported
main space-truss beam and on the
perimeter columns. Each space-truss
beam is supported on the concrete
pylon.
The span of the large beam is 160m and
of the small 110m. The pylons are
founded on piles while the concrete
buildings have a strip foundation.

NEW STADIUM (PROJECT BUDGET: €50.000.000)
Pas Giannina F.C. new stadium has a
capacity of 20.000 spectators, and the total of the grandstands is covered by
the roof. The whole project is a sports
complex with a football stadium in the
core.
A modern training center, an athletic
and a water park fulfill the total sporting
facilities update of the specific area in
the city of Giannina.
The project was under tender procedure.

quantities. Participation in the modelling
of the full structure in the TEKLA
STRUCTURES software.

THE EYE OF QATAR
(PROJECT BUDGET: USD127.000.000)
The Eye of Qatar is a one of kind
marvelous building, unique in colour, design, location and usage ability. This
building itself shows of Qatar’s new vision
of design and luxuriousness. It is a visually
pleasing building with unaccountable
amounts of benefits. The location is near
the airport and is right beside the Banks
Street, while also close to many tourist
attractions such as Souk Waqif, and the
Corniche, walkway on the seaside.
The building is built on 8 floors and divided in a very systematic manner and
has an amazing amount of space
allowing it to be a multipurpose building;
the building is also equipped with smart
elevators.
Built up area: 51.100m2
Position:
Senior steel detailer. Participation in the
modelling of the full structure in the TEKLA
STRUCTURES software. Creation of shop
and erection drawings.
