Migrate
If you have existing
Resource Plans in PWA will all be
automatically converted into Engagements,
and the old Resource Plan view will be
removed
On - Prem
Vs
On-LineWith the On - Line version you have a
choice.
With the On - Prem version you will migrate your old Resource Plans
into engagements.
Project Server
Resource Engagements
Look at the Ribbon and you will see a new feature for Engagements under the Resource plan Tools.
Now that the new feature is within the PPM, remember to “Adjust your EPM Process” to include Resource Requests for “Engagements.”
HR Forecasting / Engagement
Resource Capacity / Allocation
New Engagements
When a new Engagement is requested the Project name and Description is entered.
You can add a start and finish date for the requested resource.
You can add the allocation by units or work.
See the new comments fields for the PM.
Resource Requests
Resource managers can now view the requests for the resources that are managed across all projects on the new Resource Requests page.
This feature will be available in both Project Server 2016 and On-Line.
Capacity Planning Heat Map
Resource managers can see the capacity and Engagements in order to plan accordingly.
This is a new View under Availability.
