Completion Date: 2016 Construction Cost: $5 million Funding Source: Private Project Description: This project was for a cold storage warehouse for food processing and distribution as well as a regional truck maintenance facility for Performance Food Group located in Oakwood, GA. KBD Group and BDG worked together as a design/build phased project. The sitework included planning for a future expansion of warehouse storage and new office space for a total estimated 521,000 SF building. Key design elements included site grading , truck parking, meeting design overlay district requirements, and stormwater on the 43 acre site. In addition the City of Oakwood planned roadway improvements to widen Old Oakwood Road to coordinate the site design with in various aspects including scheduling and construction phasing between the two projects. The site entitlements included the successful pursuit of buffer variances with the City of Oakwood. BDG provided due diligence, conceptual plans for planning and budgeting, civil design, construction phasing, and construction observations as part of our scope of services.
