Projecta applies two different screen fabrics in the man-

ufacture of its Home Cinema projection screens, both

of which are of superior quality. The type of fabric has a

great deal of influence on the display of the image.

M AT T E W H I T E

Matte White (gain 1.0) is an all-round projection screen fab-

ric. The screen displays sharp and true-to-life colours and is

therefore suitable for a variety of applications. Apart from

films and television, you can also view your holiday photos

perfectly on this screen. We recommend that you project in a

room that you are able to darken. The degree to which you do

this is dependent on the projector’s light output. Matte White

is almost always suitable for use with an average quality pro-

jector in a darkened room.

H I G H CO N T R A ST

High Contrast (gain 0.8/1.0) is a screen for the connoisseur.

If you plan to use your projection screen primarily to watch

films, then we highly recommend a High Contrast screen. The

fabric has a light grey surface, which results in a fuller colour

display. The dark tints in particular display more shadow

details and black values are a deeper black. For the best qual-

ity, darkening the room in which you plan to project is an

absolute must.

aspeCT raTio

If you mostly watch television, sporting events

and games, then an aspect ratio of 4:3 is per-

fectly suitable for you. If your preference however

is for watching films, then we recommend an

aspect ratio of 16:9. Make sure that the aspect

ratio of the projection screen corresponds to the

aspect ratio which the projector is capable of

displaying.

In order to be able to continually improve the

projection screens, Projecta places a great deal of

attention on product development. This has led to a

number of unique features which you will only find

with Projecta screens.

All of the Projecta Home Cinema screens have a black border or

frame all around. This black border has been applied specifically

to increase the perceived clarity of the projected image.

➔ E XT R A H I G H B L AC K B O R D E R

A unique feature of the Projecta Home Cinema screens is that

the top section of the projection screen fabric provides an extra

screen length and is coloured deep black. This allows the viewer

to always set the perfect viewing height. The black also results

in a beautiful contrast with the projected image. This means no

bright white area at the top of the image.

The portable models PortaLite, LiteScreen and CinemaLite have an

extra black border at the bottom.

THree Tips for THe perfeCT

Home Cinema

The room in which you plan to project determines the size and

hanging position of the projection screen according to the following

guidelines:

➔ H E I G H T O F T H E P R OJ E C T I O N S U R FAC E

Height of the projection surface (Y) is at least 1/6 of the distance

from the projection screen to the last row of chairs. X - distance x (1/6) = Y - height

width = 1.33 x height

width = 1.78 x height

➔ O P T I M A L V I E W I N G H E I G H T

A distance of 60-90 cm from the bottom of the projection screen to

the floor is optimal. (A)

The optimum perception of the projected image is determined

by: Minimum viewing distance (X) = 1.5 x height of the viewing surface (Y).

High Contrast (gain 0.8/) is a screen for a particularly

realistic cinema experience. Sound and image form a seam-

less whole thanks to the option of positioning loudspeakers

behind the projection screen. The perforation in the High

Contrast Sound fabric ensures an undisturbed projection of

sound. The light grey surface guarantees a fuller colour dis-

play, more shadow detail and better black values.

Flexible ease of installation with easy installSimplicity and ease

The principle behind Easy Install is simple. First

two brackets are mounted to the wall or ceiling,

after which the screen may be easily slid into the

brackets and secured with screws. Even the larg-

est screens may be quickly and easily installed

using this system.

Flexible choice of drilling measurements

Thanks to Easy Install, the screen width no longer

determines the position of the points of suspen-

sion. The mounting brackets may be mounted to

the wall or ceiling within 50 cm of the two ends

of the screen. It is also possible to make correc-

tions either to the left or right after hanging. This

means fixed drilling measurements are no longer

necessary. A Projecta projection screen is now

even easier to install and always hangs perfectly

in no time.

Plug & play accessories

Thanks to the plug & play accessories, anyone

can easily install an electrical projection screen:

connect the plug to the screen, conceal the wir-

ing neatly in the end caps, and the projection

screen is ready to use.
